This new track is to celebrate the Helltaker Soundtrack being nominated for the 2020 Steam Awards alongside DOOM Eternal.
Even if Helltaker does not win, it is a serious honor, and not something I have taken for granted.

would be undeserved, its a good track but nothing in comparison to MCC and Doom Eternal
I don't often get to throw money at my favorite artists within 15 minutes of a release, but this time I could and it was a pleasure! I nominated Helltaker in the Steam awards too, and even voted for it over Doom. Might seem crazy to fans of Doom but your music is just as fun to listen to as any Doom soundtrack, and it's in my favorite musical genre. Doom looks impossible to beat but the important takeaway is that your music is among the best you can find out there. Thank you for all the catchy tunes and have a nice day!

I think Doom Eternal deserves Game of thr Year and Helltaker deserves Best Music.
I never expected that I would vote for short F2P puzzle-solving game over Doom Eternal, but that's what I did and I'm damn proud that there were more of us, even if we didn't won. And this Doom x Helltaker crossover is one of the best crossovers! The tune and the art is equally beautiful!

It has been a wild ride following Mittsies. I remember finding his music from Tiara and loving it due to the fact he actually knew what electro was. And years later, he is being nominated for best OST from steam. I'm so happy for you, Mittsies, you deserve it.

Although DooM Won, (not surprising ) its still amazing to be nominated, considering 4/5 of the nominees are AAA game titles that sold really well and are universally revered as some of the best games of 2020, all of which has long running franchises, and iconic music,
So for a tiny puzzle game that's just a way to get people to create Fanart of Vanrippers Kink, to be nominated along those titans for best music, really an achievement worth celebrating.
I will admit, I have listen to about 25 hours of vitality, at the very least, only spicing it up once in a while by taking one of the remix versions, but the original is still very special.

Yeah, if you listen closely you can hear bits of E1M1, even a few sound effects from the monsters (Hell Baron and Hell Knight I hear throughout the song), weapons (Shotgun cocking), items (Health Bonuses) and powerups (Soulsphere, I think) if I'm not mistaken.
