This video is adorable but confusing. The girl (so well dressed) meets John and almost inmediately gets angry with him. Why does she get angry with John? He is adorable, handsome and magical, i could not get angry with John, and i'm someone very angry. Then John chases her from the park to the inside that strange building (the park and lonely building are ideas very Foxx) and at the end they are together as if nothing had happened. Was all that building a dream of John while waiting for his girlfriend? Sorry for my english.
Intriguing bloke. Looks like Big Country's Stuart Adamson but sounds more like Gary Numan, though less robotic. I'm almost sure I can bits of the tune where U2 stole it for 'Where The Streets Have No Name'.
I wonder who the young lady is giving poor John the cold shoulder? i would like to have a quick word with her. Oh, then she wants him back, typical woman😆
I was the woman in the Video....back in the 80 ies in London....and I did, what the Script told me to do.....believe .me...it was not easy to be rude to such a gentleman
@@ricardapoznanski5604 fantastic, thanks for taking time to reply, strange theme for the video but then anything John does is not run of the mill and that is what makes him more mysterious and intriguing and i love it. I now see the ballet dance connection with yourself, fantastic.
Still love him and his music
Amazing this doesnt seem to be the same John from his early punk years, love both Johns all the same.
Beautiful song , his lyric always pure . He is a best musician for me
It's ONE OF THOSE that is an 'earworm' ..most of his tunes are 😁🎵🎵
My favourite John Foxx song - both this version and the more eastern version from 1982. I still have them both on 7 inch single.
A perfect mix of synth-psychedelia euphoria
This song is so beautiful!! I have always loved it!!!
Such a brilliant song.
One of Mr Leighs 👌 ❤
what a song
The bandstand is at the centre of the Boundary Estate in East London.
Brilliant
@rayixon7890 Hahaha. Yes, the lovely lady was... complex - be careful what you wish for!
And the video was made in 1983, not 1982.
the Lady was ME.....back in 80 ies in London-when I was a classical ballerina
classic
If only there was a decent version of John Foxx's videos on TH-cam, Over to you Dennis!
Love me some hat veiling

@@rayixon7890 I too. I love his music. And i love John.
His sound did seem to become warmer and jollier than his 1980 singles such as Underpass,No-one Driving and Burning Car.
shes apparantly dressed as a widow and probably not ready for a new relationship w john
80s videos are usually supposed to be confusing and surreal.
@@tullmonkey Sorry, i don't understant you.
OMG!!!
