The stage is Tokyo Garden Theater (capacity 8,000). This is one of three recordings from this concert promoting the DVD (November). They start their next tour in November. Final in February, in Budokan! They often wear T-shirts with the names of bands they like (IM, Metallica, SOAD, Slipknot, Motorhead,....). Today the recorded Sugar (SOAD cover) was published, but it is best to watch it from a free live stream: 【NEMOPHILA】 You Tube FREE LIVE 2023 th-cam.com/video/NUOFriPTWLA/w-d-xo.html track list in the comments.
"Kickstart my Nostalgic Heart." I love this song's pure 80's glam metal vibes. I know some people hate glam metal and the posturing to go along with it, but this is exactly that and I think this is just wonderful. Positive vibes, catchy melody and supreme talent. I wish they did more clean vocal tracks like this has. They don't all have to be 80's glam metal, but her clean vocals are among the absolute best today without question.
Their MV’s are killer with zero complaints from me. However, their live music is on a whole other level. Maybe I’m biased having been to a number of their concerts. Nothing but respect for these women.
When I listened to the 1st album, this song didn't stand out as much as others. Live onstage is a much different story, way better IMO. Loved the bass solo. TH-cam was trying to tell you something, bringing up "Seize the Fate" at the end, also recently released official live. Definitely check that out, 2nd album title track.
"Zen" from the same concert next to get the other end of the spectrum when it comes to type of songs. Hara plays bass with fingers and slaps too, if that's what the song calls for. I'm pretty sure they use prerecorder backup vocals, or at least add it to the mix in these releases. They sound too much like Mayu too.
That was an interesting reaction! I really like this song. It is a so happy song! Sometimes it's nice to listen to non-dark music! Of course, you have to react to their recent live video "Zen". It's the complete opposite. Thank you for your reaction! More Nemophila on the channel!
May is such a talented vocalist. Her rough stuff is good, but I have a soft spot for her, almost cutesy, clean vocals. The pop element of it is a nice break from all the heavy sometimes.
NEMOPHILA at TOKYO GARDEN THEATER, Tokyo, Japan - JUL-17-2023 01-REVIVE 02-RAITEI 03-RISE 04-Hoozuki 05-Back into the wild 06-STYLE 06-ADABANA 07-GAME OVER 08-Change the world 09-Blooming 10-Rollin' Rollin' 11-FIGHTER 12-Night Flight 13-Monsters 14-ZEN 15-Waiting for you 16-DISSENSION 17-SORAI 18-Seize the Fate
You mention they are wearing SOAD shirts. They dropped 2 covers from their new EP this week (on Spotifiy, etc): Metallica - Master of Puppets SOAD - Sugar They don't have videos for these songs yet, but they will need reactions (when available) as they nail both of them. Serj Tankian is hard for anyone to match (well) in style and range, but Mayu does an amazing job considering she is a female vocalist and English is her second language. She adds her own flavour while matching Serj's "out-there-ness". Anyone taking on "Puppets"... well... damn! More Nemphila, guys! Also check out - Jiluka - First listen to these guys made me think, "Japan's Lorna Shore" - Venom: th-cam.com/video/psEMRalCPFQ/w-d-xo.html
Regarding Hazukis guitar .... I think the consensus is that it is not directly connected but just taking up the room sound. A miss in the mixing. It sounds stellar anyways.
This is a fun audience participation song.. "Sieze the Fate, and "Zen" from this concert are killer !
I agree completely and perfectly.
Nemophila is an adventure. They aren't pinned to any particular style. It makes their music exciting.
Hara-chan is also a hell of a fingerstyle bass player and she slaps too.
Nemophila plays a variety of styles. This is definitely on the lighter end of their repertoire. Try Zen (live) for the heavy end.
Love the Zen live. So good!
Nope. Oiran

Oh yeah! They do play "Sugar" in this clip! But no "Puppets"... yet.🤞

They play whatever they want and they kill it. Lovin their passion 🔥❤️ Best band out there 🤘💪
The vocal harmonies in this remind of Mountain Music by Alabama. Idk why, just does.
lol I went the opposite. I hear 80's glam metal. Kickstart My Heart, Once Bitten Twice Shy, Round and Round, etc.
@@Parker-- this would make more sense lol.

Yes yes yes ... this is pop and it is totally freaking fantastic commercial shit :)
And
I love it!

Their recent OIRAN live video kicks a$$
If you want heavy then listen to " ZEN " from the same show - they're just versatile !
Haraguchi San plays all styles on the bass. Yes on this song she was just playing pick but she also slaps and plays finger style.
The bass player uses fingers, pick and slap

Still no idea why every melodic singing is “pop”.
By the way practice more and you can make your own money
