As a Kiwi, I would say that there are different Kiwi accents. South Islander's use harder R's, North Shore girls sound like valley girls, etc

For the record, as an Englishwoman, I say 'bugger', not 'bollocks'. This is probably because even my grandmother (who sounded just like the queen when she spoke) used the word 'bugger'. You forgot about Southland, our accent is weirdly different to the rest of the country, we roll our "R's" way more than rest of country, not sure why but it just happens. Love your videos anyhow :) (I'm from Invercargill :D)
Might be because of Scottish / Irish settlers coming down here and having an influence too, I haven't noticed any of the Maori folks i know rolling their R's but since I've lived here my entire life it's hard for me to notice anyhow :)

NZ does have more distinct accents than most people think. Also more distinct dialects. Still less than 20 (possibly 10, I don't recall) of each, though... Meanwhile there are (or at least were) parts of London (and England in general) where its possible to tell what Street someone is from by their accent/dialect. So, you know, details are wrong, but the comparison holds.
