Your probably correct about the media intrusion into the case as that garbage gets into everything when the air is turned up full tilt. Good thing you had a auxiliary plant to substitute for the original one.
I noticed you did not reinstall the motor bracket on the top that connects to the downtube under the tank. I guess after cutting the frame and shifting it up, those holes would not have aligned anyway. Is it ok to run without that top mount?
