Thank you for this video. I was able to sell my car for $800 more than what was offered to me from CarMax because I fixed this part of my Pilot. The purchaser denied my car because they deemed it unsafe. Once I fixed this I called them back out and they made me offer higher than all others! Thank you so much for doing this!!
My moms is broken and she’s blaming me. The smaller one work’s partially. It just won’t lean all the way like it used to. It makes a clicking kind of sound.
It could be a bad switch or track issue. your seat might be stuck in the track and does not come forward. you probably have to remove the seat and check the track.
Our seat cover had the same problem where the caps on the screw holes had broken off, but glue wasn't helping in sticking it back on. We ended up buying another seat adjuster panel cover, but we can't figure out how to get the slider pieces out of the old panel. Would you know how to do that? Thanks in advance.
Driver Seat: could be switch or stuck track/gear. When you press switch and you feel or hear it's trying to move but does not move, then the track/gear issue. If there is no power, then most likely it is the switch issue. Passenger Seat: Check to see if you notice any power when you press the switch. if no power at all and seat does not move in any direction, then check the fuse first (see your manual to find the fuse location). If fuse is good, then make sure switch is not disconnected, like mine in the video. Worst would be the motor. Hope this helps. Let me know what you find. Thanks
I have a 2010 gmc Denali and my recline does not work i put it back to lay down and when I wanted to put it back up the button didn’t work anymore and the other buttons on the seat work just the recline one doesn’t it seems to get power to recline back but to go forward it don’t get power so it’s stuck back right now what could it be?
If it gets power to recline back but no power to go forward, seems like faulty button. if it got power to go forward and don't move forward then it would have been track issue. I would try testing the switch by using a wire and touch the two ends of the switch for the forward. You will have to remove the switch to test this. If this does not work, then you need to inspect the gear/track, if something got stuck there. There is also a possibility the seat has been moved (forced) back beyond the limit. Hope this helps.
My 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe Driver side power seat stuck in decline cannot get it to incline it works a few time and then stock Oh I cannot use my vehicle any help thanks. I also took the whole seat out to check for broken parts seems OK.
What If You Are Reclining The Seat And It Stops In A Certain Stop And Doesnt Go Back Anymore? mine is Just Stopping Midway and just Making A Rattling Noise
@@DoitTg Great video sir. But if you're having issues with the recline function you wont be dealing with tracks. You would have to inspect the gearing mechanisms. Tracks are only used when sliding back and forth but reclining motions usually operate off gears. Once again thanks for the helpful video.
I’m still unclear as to what the issue was? Was the whole controller board not working and replaced? I’m having the same issue with my 2013 accord. Tilt is stuck and barely moves like half an inch beach and forth
In my case, the cover was broken loose and it got unplugged. If you're getting power to the seat and feel it tries to move but does not move, then you need to check the gear mechanism.
Do you feel the power when you press the button? if yes, the track might stuck. If there is no power, you may need to change the switch or check wiring going to that switch.
I replaced with new switch still won’t recline just clicks. Also when I go to move seat forward have to push lever backwards an vice virsa. This is on drivers side only..
You will have to inspect the recliner mechanism. it seems it is stuck. And for the forward and backward, i think it is placed upside down. you will have to remove the switch and flip the side. hope this helps.

8:50 the material is polypro so no glue will hold it well. Use soldering iron and weld the broken bottom to the screw well walls

So i have a 2011 nissan maxima, my driver seat will recline but not come back up & my passenger seat wont recline period. Can you give me advice?

We have the same car but opposite issue mine won’t go back 🫠

All buttons in my mazda cx7 2011 are working, except with the reclining button, how to fix this
