The squirrels were so cute! Thank you for making sure the scrawny ones got some food ,that was super cool of you. I've never seen squirrel s in real life, didn't know they were so friendly.
In the part where you feed the squirrels, I was feeling bad of the squirrel from Ice Age. He's been wanting that acorn for a long time. And now here are his greedy buddies.
This is my first time commenting on a video ever. I wanted to tell you Mike that I really enjoyed seeing your reaction to the Pacific in this video. I grew up in California & now live on the Oregon coast so I've seen it everyday for my whole life but your reaction reminded me of how beautiful & awesome the Pacific coast really is. I also wanted to say that I am a huge fan, I watch all your channels and I really like your content. Especially Double Chen. You and Dan work well together and there is a great chemistry going on in your videos. Keep making such great content.
Mike thank you so much for sharing your cross country journey. While I've lived in quite a few places most of my travels have been between the east coast and Texas. You've shown me beautiful places I've only heard about. I'm subscribed to all of your channels and love them all. Thanks again. 😃
Beautiful scenery and wildlife. Pity how some who have those things so close to them, rarely or never look upon them and appreciate them. They're far too busy living their rat race lives of monotonous and routine city living while gifts like these go by unnoticed... oh well, better for the seals, squirrels and seagulls (and other fauna and flora) to remain undisturbed by those who can't appreciate them... Great video Mikey, *_Keep 'em coming!_*
Hey Mike, first time commenting. Love these videos of your trip across the country. My parents and younger brother live in Atascadero, and my husband and I visit often - I hope you missed the heat. That whole area of Pismo Beach up through SLO through Paso Robles is some of the most beautiful parts of the state. I lived in Milpitas for a year before moving out of California, and man, I miss the ocean. Anyway, since you will be living in Santa Clara, you won't be far away. I totally recommend a weekend trip down to San Luis Obispo for their Thursday farmers market. And there are great seafood places in Morro Bay. Great stuff.
We have such a beautiful coast. If you're in the San Luis Obispo / Pismo Beach area, I have a few local food places to recommend. Loved how you were trying to pronounce "Atascadero", which translates to "bottomless mud pit".
Welcome to California. Next time after raining at the coast, visit Highway 1 again when the sun comes through the blue sky and thick white clouds, no haze or marine layer, couple with some rainbows, most beautiful scenes ever of the Pacific Coast.
The little scrawny squirrels, as you refered to them, are actually just young squirrels/babies. I'm sure they'll be as big as the adults one day. Crazy how friendly they were tho, even the baby ones. Nice vid!
Congratulations on your arrival to the Pacific Coast. I am glad that you made it to your new home in Cali, but I must defend NYC after hearing your comments about Central Park. True is it not grand like the scenery along the pct, However there are many city and state parks in the NYC area besides Central Park. For example there is the Gateway National Recreation Area, that includes the shorelines of Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and some of New Jersey. Also the landscape and scenery is more varied within the NYC trip-state area than Manhattan. You are in close proximity to both mountains and shoreline within a two hour radius.
Maybe I'm biased but welcome to the most wonderful state! Be happy you were driving north, driving south right against the rail is so nerve wracking; my palms were sweating uncontrollably navigating those turns.
I'm new to your channels, but thank you. My dream vacation is to drive PCH all the way to Seattle and that will never happen. Thanks for a little peak to enjoy.
I would like to see a whole map with the route you took to drive from New York to your new Santa Clara home with the key location marked. That would be interesting and a way to document the start of new changes.
Just went on Highway 1 last week! Got to stop at Bixby Bridge and some other places but wanted to go check out McWay Falls but sadly the vista point was closed because of the past fires, I believe. Nice video man! Makes me want to go back!
Mike the skinny little ones are adolescent squirrels the bold one is a full adult. If you ever go up to Grants Grove in Sequoia National Park take bread for the chipmunks up there.
No, totally with you about Rt. 1, and I've been in the Bay Area for 10 years. My wife and I travel up and down Rt. 1 on weekends a lot. (Welcome to the Bay, by the way!)
Highway 1 is always gorgeous, and now I get why my mother was always so amazed by it. I mean, I was born in California, I grew up vacationing along the coastal highway, mom was from near Philly. Also, what beaches are those? Are they near Sea Ranch/Mendicino, because the first few really looked like it. And there are seafood restaurants, if you know where to look, there's one in Big Sur and one at the Sea Ranch lodge. Although the Big Sur one had sea gulls stealing jelly packets off the tables. >_>
When me and my wife went to crater lake in OR for our honeymoon, we had ones like that climbing on our shoulders trying to jump to other peoples food lol We saw this one die i think it was on a ledge after i fed it and a fat one came up and pussed off a 100ft cliff into crator lake. love your vids!
I, for one, will not mock you, as I've lived on both coasts. The Pacific is a colder ocean than the Atlantic. I used to love sea bathing in the Atlantic in October in Massachusetts. The water was warmer than the air temperature. In SoCal, that's not true. The first time I was the Pacific, I realized the truth of the comment made during WW II--that the Atlantic was a bathtub compared to the Pacific.
U should go to Fishermen's Warf in Monterey for seafood there r a lot of restaurants there. The only down side is that the food is really exspensive and the waiting is long. But I Like the free clam chowder samples.
Mikey, your videos perk up my days so much. Thank you for all you do.
Thanks for watching! :-)
I'm living vicariously through you, Mike! Thank you for this mini vacation!
Ty for sharing your journey! Had been amazing!
Btw, Squirrels confirm Mike is a Disney Prince
Along with his bottomless stomach and mountainous muscles he is definitely is!

Those squirrels brought a smile to my face. Thanks for sharing.
Love the scenery shots and squirrel shenanigans. great video!

I know I’m late but those squirrels were adorable. I would of fed them all day lol.
Just beautiful. I mean I am in Florida, but we don't have clifs and stuff like that here. Enjoy your drive and trip Mikey.
I need to make that trip just for the squirrels. Chubby one might have been pregnant and it was missing its tail.
I'm new to your channels, but thank you. My dream vacation is to drive PCH all the way to Seattle and that will never happen. Thanks for a little peak to enjoy.

Amazing coastal views! Hope you got your fish dinner!
The great coastline view. I live in Sacramento, so all I see is concrete
At 7:00 I felt really anxious....Don't get that close to ledges!!
I was worried about that too. But it's really nice to have a vlogger coming to California rather than leaving..
Mike the squirrel whisperer
Drove up the PCH from LA to San Fransicsco in May and saw those seals! The smell was almost unbearable lol
