I started playing MH in World and because of a video of yours with a full burst gunlance build killing a Nergigante, after that I fell in love with the game and the full burst gunlance. I loved the changes to the GL in wilds and I'm really excited to the game's release!
If you play the Gunlance you’d understand how impressive this is!! The perfect blocks into slams, the guard points with the reloads, the positioning, the ammo management …. Is just perfect 🤌
I tried most of the weapons in the beta and Gunlance caught my interest the most. The new combos and perfect guard is fantastic! I will have the Gunlance in my Seikret pouch for fun explosions in Wilds!

Gunlance got the glow up it deserved. So much power, and this isn't even the final form. I fear to see what happens when the full game comes out and people have their full armor sets and skills.
this is my first Monster Hunter Dragons Dogma 2 is what peaked my interest i’m loving the demo and cannot wait to play the new one but watching this shows how high the skill ceiling can be i have some work cut out 😂
It looks like they reduced the severe amount of sharpness loss when you shoot the Gunlance. This might be the first time in history that I'll finally learn how to use the Gunlance.
Can you do Wide Sweep from a Shell while standing in place, or does it HAVE to be from a Step Shell? If it HAS to be a Step Shell I think that is very silly
You can do it from step shell or by continuing from overhead smash instead of dumping the full burst. Theres some other ways you can flow into Wide sweep that I cant remember off the top of my head but you cant do it from stationary shell.
Press X + O after sweep to full blast wyrmstake and right after that O or triangle to do a full burst wyrmstake combo again. Don't forget to aim with L2 if the monster move.
@Adrenarini the fastest way to reach it is to press O, then forward + triangle, and after it triangle + O. And this is the first repation you can then press triangle or O to do another reload and wyrmstic. I hope that I didn't make it more complex than it is. In the game, it is easier to do
Probably because it's not worth it, It seems to be the case for a few weapons. The optimal rotations (if you can play this well) do not want to use focus mode.

Temper your expectations, Gunlance has statistically ALWAYS gotten very good clear times in Demo's, this is because shelling is always powerful when all weapons have very low forms of scaling raw and have low amount of optimization. On another note, IM HYPED ASF LES GOOOO FAM, THE BEST GUNLANCE HAS EVER LOOKED.
I am glad. shield IS a shield this time and not some big piece of metal that you rarely use. it can cancel animation make shield really useful this time. I literally count how many time he dodge and not found any. do I miss some ? I will miss Blast dash from Rise but this new GL look even more fun.

I think you can just shell but have to sweep while moving if not, it is just a regular poke.
You can do it from step shell or by continuing from overhead smash instead of dumping the full burst. Theres some other ways you can flow into Wide sweep that I cant remember off the top of my head but you cant do it from stationary shell.
