great idea, been trying to find a way to tone down the tracks i just installed, it is screaming too loud now that is what i need for my small n scale table! thanks mate
Wow !! I just saw the braces you used on the layout. Very good and real nice work on them. People just don't go to the trouble to do this kind of detail these days. I'm impressed... I have been spraying the track and I found that a square of OSB lumber with a couple of layers of paper towel works great. Then the same OSB square (about 4 X 4 inches) will take almost all of the rest of the paint off when used as a scraper but will not scratch the track. Use the rough side of the wood. I use Rustolieum and even it being a paint that will melt foam, I find that if you use it in light coats, it will work without any problems.
Thanks for the comment and it depends on how much you spray but i can't remember but i will be doing some more soon and i will let you know then cheers Robert

Matt i will be using grey Ballast
any issues with running locos after paint? I've had to really clean the tops to get decent connections
No problems with running loco's but you do have to clean the top of the rails cheers Robert
Cool. Looks great. But a simple "latex" spray would have worked as well. No?
