This place is fantastic! As an artist myself I recognized the type of owner right away. It's not often you find ceiling medallions and ornamental trim work. For myself I would choose lighter colors and put up brocade wallpaper in some of the downstairs rooms, but that's me, I like the softer and more subtle look. It's a huge house that my whole family could fit into including the in-laws ha ha. Love the yard too! Can't find anything not to like. Someone is getting a bargain here.

Fell in love with entrance onto the path of flowers leading to the front door! Lovely Home and certainly can see so much that this home could be with just a little bit of painting or using material on walls where it looks like wallpapers even nicer. Not all of them mind you but just a couple her and there. Could change a few things but everyone does. The gite could be fixed up and become a place for the owner to work or to dance, or whatever their talent leads them. It is wonderful to have so much area with privacy and quiet and yet be near the village as well! This home renders the older feel. So much to keel the same because it just seems so right for it!

The village location with a view to agricultural land make this house quite special. The many perennial plantings give the place curb appeal. The interior is elegant, with many ornate features. The first and second floors could be reorganized to make more convenient use of the spaces, and the potential for a gite might provide income. A very attractive property!

This is a very beautiful house. I really love the colours in the rooms,the cupboards look very nice in the rooms. The garden is lovely too.

I'm an artist, some of his or her paintings are categorically gems, and I gather the artist owns the place as they let rip a bit on the decor .....I like canvas type neutral painted rooms, but this grows on me..Only thing are those types of showers make me cringe even though practical...But I can say now, even though I live in Aus I would be at the negotiation table over this if I get the funds needed...Thank you for your gentle walk through...

All that for 250k is really amazing. I couldn't be so far away from a major city. Ive been looking in Northern England and Scotland, found a few, but at twice the price. Hard balancing act.
You are very near Vire a large town that has everything and a train that takes you into Paris in 2 and a half hours with free parking. that's exactly what I thought. Sadly departed some time ago, I was lucky enough to see him in Scarmouche Jones the one man play when it visited Oxford in 2002. I think that if I were to buy it I'd want to have some of the paintings too. It really benefits from those large bold images.

The good news is that the owners have not taken out the original features, the bad news is the ghastly decor, clutter and ugly wood burner and flu. These are minor changes only however that can be done by the new owner with a little more sensitivity to the history of the house. A lovely property if it could be given a more appropriate aesthetic and a good tidy.
