About I Dream of Jeannie: Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman star in this classic ‘60s comedy about a genie and her master. When astronaut Tony Nelson is forced to crash-land on a remote Pacific island, he finds a strange bottle that's washed ashore. When he opens it, out pops a genie named Jeannie. One of the best physical and slapstick humor EVER! Great performance by Larry Hagman
Of course, Dr. Bellows would have to be on the plane with Major Nelson. The witness and victim of everyone of Tony's fiascos. How he managed to stay in the space program for six days with Jeannie in the way was a miracle. The worse things got, the more fun and delight they created. A perfect storm of comedic joy.

Again, this episode was one of my favorite episodes of "I dream of Jeannie". It is funny, hilarious and sarcastic. Jeannie was certainly jealous of his women's relationship that often misunderstood and misjudged her. 👍🤣👍

Originally telecast on December 2, 1968. The airline Tony happened to be flying on- with Jeannie wearing its official stewardess' uniform- was *TWA.* This was essentially a "plug" for them, in exchange for supplying the "jet trip for two around the world" grand prize in the upcoming "Guess Major Nelson's Secret Location" contest in January 1969.

Jeannie has all kinda tricks for tony. It's a wonder he didn't have a nervous breakdown!
He came close to it at times. He occasionally told Roger during the second season that unless he did something about Jeannie, he *would* have a nervous breakdown.
Yes, Tony was often on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Kept his life exciting though, and exercised his mind in ways to gaslight Dr Bellows.

Jeannie turns the NASA film into a film where Tony and Roger are the Wright Brothers and they try to get their airplane off the ground as the announcer describes about NASA and that they're doing great strides in their work.

When it's done right, slapstick is a form of comedy at its finest. In this episode, it's finely-tuned, like just about all IDOJ.
Searle Kramer wrote this episode. From 1936-1958 he wrote numerous Three Stooges Shorts at Columbia.

One of my favorite episodes also. The changes Jeannie made to the film are hilarious, even better than this segment. Hope that segment gets posted as well.
I think she changed it to some kind of back woods-ish hokey scenario with Tony and Roger in it. And the top base's brass were watching it in a viewing room with the general becoming highly displeased. Could be wrong but that's what I'm thinking.
You're just about right. The "Top Secret" footage concerning NASA's latest projects was gagged up with footage of spectaclar aviation flops over the years, with Tony and Roger "assuming" the roles of pilot and assistant.
