This is a nice introduction to the style of dance. I think it is better known as a Big Circle dance - which betrays one error in the version shown. There aren't any big circle figures. As taught to us, the dance traditionally starts with a number of big circle figures - everyone in the circle doing a succession of figures all together. Typical figures include couples promenading around the ring, swinging, London bridge (or tunnel), king's or queen's highway, rip and snort, etc. Then after a while, the circle breaks into two-couple sets, with different small-circle figures being called (not necessarily the same ones, in the same order). Our group typically does figures like dive for the oyster, mountaineer's loop, chase the rabbit chase the squirrel, little side door, etc. After a number of such figures - and usually advancing several times to work with a new couple (as done here), then the circle gets back together and does several full-circle patterns to end the dance. We often use "California fruit basket" as an ending figure - no doubt a modern invention. It's more fun when done the traditional way, especially when the caller names patterns in random order.
