This feels like such a breakthrough for my understanding of my chart - thanks for explaining in such an accessible way! My chart ruler is Venus with my moon, and Venus in Libra, with Libra in the 12th house. I've always had trouble relating to my sun sign of Leo because I felt like Libra was more significant. Now this makes sense!
Now you get it! Sometimes we relate so much to our chart ruler that its hard to see our sun sign...however every planet in the chart is servicing the sun so it's important to note that. Glad i was able to make this subject clear!
My chart ruler is Mars in Aries (I'm Scorpio rising, Scorpio sun). My natal Mars trine my MC in Leo, and in the aspect table it shows a trine to my sun, but my Mars also square my Saturn, Neptune and Uranus
I dont know... I'm not that social and outgoing. Not so many friends- I dont let anybody come in my space that easy, love being alone but also be with close friends sometimes. Leo Rising, Gemini Sun, in 11: th house... So it's not always correct...
This was quite an informative article on chart rulership. Thank you very much indeed. I am a Virgo Ascendant and my chart ruler Mercury is 18° and is next to Jupiter 8° in Pisces which is my sixth house. Mercury doesn’t have any aspects although it was in Retrograde at the time of my birth.
Mercury retrograde in Pisces in the 6th = has a vibe of Virgo because it’s the 6th so you care very much for your daily routine and work. You think about that. It’s retrograde and in Pisces so you have your own way of thinking, could be learning challenges when you were young. You deeply love to explore the spiritual aspects of life and could be working in the helping professions and or with Pets and or health. Very keen on the details as they give you a sense of order within the chaos. Obviously need to see the whole chart.
M ascendant is at 27 deg Sagittarius ♐️ and I have venus in the 1st house Capricorn ♑️ at 14 deg. Does it mean I have 2 rulling planets or maybe 3 or just Jupiter. Seems like my ascendant is in the 12 house. Need to clarify this thank you?. Btw my Jupiter is in 25deg Taurus ♉️ R in 5House
Using Placidus houses your Ascendant is always the beginning of your 1st house = so Jupiter is your chart ruler. There is only one chart ruler = the ruler of the sign on your Ascendant.
I'm Sagittarius rising. My chart ruler is Jupiter and it is in Virgo in the 10th house. However, it makes a square with my Sun in Gemini in the 7th house.

Not sure what your question is. Jupiter in the 11th will be very social especially as a chart ruler. It will give you the vibe of an optimistic person that is very involved in many groups.

Yes. Your chart ruler is the ruler of the sign on your ASC. Not any other planet.
