The monitor is 1yr 7months old with a total 3yrs warranty. In that time I have faced this issue at least more than half a dozen times.
The no display thing would last for a short while in the beginning and then start working again randomly when I would come back much later and turn it on.
A few things tell me it could be a power delivery issue.
A few times the display went off when I was simply tilting the monitor to adjust it according to my seating position. It started working again eventually.
Then there are those moments when it just went off randomly without a hint.
Most recently when I set the monitor to "cinema" picture profile that it comes with it went off again after 5mins.
-A few workarounds have been to just leave alone, turned off for few hours and try again. Sometimes it will work.
-You could also turn it off using the switch on the monitor, disconnect the power cord and
The LG technician came over once and could not do much because it had started working again as usual the same morning.
Consider this issue before purchasing an LG Ultrawide. The after sales service is moving very slow for me. It sucks when the monitor stops working during important work.

***2021 Feb update. Monitor turned off again but turned on after few minutes with the screen white and flickering for 15 secs and then operating normal again.
I fixed it myself. I opened the monitor and I detached all the cables from the logic board and put it back. that fixed the problem. Played games and watched movies, the problem never persists.
do u just unplug all the cable and re-plug all of it? is it easy? im having the same problem here.. T.T
@@andryyomanto3647 yes it is super easy to detached all the cable but careful with the screen frame, it is very hard to take it out. I almost broke it, it bent.
How did you open it i cannot find a dissemble guide anywhere
I have the same monitor, and it just stopped working one day after owning it for about a year. I've removed the cover, and inspected the display board that lies right in the middle of the monitor. In the upper right corner there is an IC (integrated circuit) which I think reads MP3378E. I can only partially make out the digits because there is what appears to be burn damage to the chip. At this point, I don't even know if I can order a new display board which is labeled EAX67451201 because I can't find a parts supplier that sells it. The best I might be able to do is find someone on eBay who is selling the exact same monitor with a broken LCD screen but a working display board and then swap out the boards (or give them my working LCD screen).
I got the 25UM65 monitor, how did you take off the cover, the construction is weird and I dont want to screw it up
Bro I hung my headphones on the top right corner of the monitor and I thing I fried the chip you say

nooooo domain expiredddd please more tips,
I'm having the exact same issue. I've searched and searched for a solution online hoping that I didn't need a technician for a diagnosis but no such luck
We had this problem and we took it apart and reconnected all the leads in the logic board and it worked perfectly 😉
That's what the LG technician did too. So far no issue.
Is it easy to reconnect all the cable to the logic board? Can a newbie also do it? Im having a same issue.. 😔😔
Me also fixed exactly the same issue by re-plugging all connectors inside the monitor right NOW :-) I'm happy.
I've Tried this multiple times and it hasn't worked
how did you open the monitor? I can't find any guide
after 5 min my monitor just goes gray and make a buzz sound
Как это решил?
I've got the exact same issue on a brand new out of the box display (going tomorrow to return it or swap it) - LG - 25UM58-P
Edit: it got swapped with no problems. On the return note they wrote something like "repositioned shield display drivers". ?.?
They are talking about the wide pcb under the shield on the back of the panel, under the main board. T-con board.
did anybody find a fix with this problem that doesnt involve spending money? mine still works but turns off maybe 20 minutes after running my pc
Stefan Micic mine to 😣
Isolar a placa inferior da placa de metal para nao fechar curto, exemplo colocar uma fita isolante na parte de metal. resolve.
guys I just found out how to open it, I went ahead and isolated almost everything. Opened the plastic, detatched the motherboaed , removed the shield that lies under it, used isolation tape to isolate everything, reattached everything.. For now it works. Anyway there are 2 videos that helped me th-cam.com/video/Qu-7EMRfC4I/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/GZp8Abzbl8o/w-d-xo.html good luck, and be safe !
Thanks for posting the link, it really helped me save one of my monitors
Does anyone know how to turn it on? I bought it secondhand so I don't know
OMG, same case... i got no idea for this case :(
It's a big monitor on the outside and very small and hollow on the inside. The pcb is pretty small. And engineer found no problem. So just hope and pray everything goes well.
Thank you man!
same case😭😭
I contacted them again, this time via LG Twitter. If the problem occurs again they said they will change my panel. Its been months since the last issue.
@@RockyGrenade Goddamn man. changing panels means that we are buying new
Did the issue get resolved ?
Yes, after the technicians teardown and putting it back together it never troubled again. For over a year.
same here 29um60
Same problem here in 2020. LG technician is sucks
