Rezero thing was planned for a long time, it’s not a production issue. They are planning to do 38ish episodes covering two arcs for s3 while also doing many other shows so to be safe they are splitting it up 8 + 8 for arc 5 and 11 + 11 arc 6
I don't want to say this, but the more I learn about the anime industry the harder it is not be cynical and negative by default, which is more painful with how special this medium is to me. But also very excited for The Summer Hikaru Died. Thank you so much for your work, it helped me understand the world of animation a lot
Re:Zero clocked out on episode 8 because episode 1 was an hour and a half. It was equal to 4 episodes. So 7+4=11 episodes. If I had to make a guess 12 to 13 is the usual count for an anime cour but episode 8 was most likely the best place to stop a cour in the story.
Ep 7 of cour 3 was too good in terms of choreography and storyboards. Just asking one thing what do you think of shunsui bankai ep (not in animation but colouring and direction) and mayuri fight ep cgi on pernida (soul king left hand).
in my opinion DanDaDan's episode 9 has a good use of the green and yellow. Even the compositing is pretty great: maybe because the shading is really gorgeous and the animation is on point. Episode 9 is at the same level of episode 4. Maybe script whise and in some scene there is a litlle bit of "nonsense" with useless scenes, but overall it is a pretty good adaptation
I can understand people that don't like the Bluelock anime but the manga is something else, the art and how the movements flow is amazing. Top seller for a reason

I feel like Mayuri fight was also amazing, and Shunsui's, although not having a lot of high fps cuts, was incredibly artistic and with some of the most amazing shots Bleach has ever given us. Although, that fight, as a whole, was never about movement. I feel like the next ep. is going to be another banger, while the one after is probably going to have a lot of beautiful shots and effects, with lesser amount of sakuga though. Every finale thus far has been pretty nxt lvl, so if we get Jugram vs Bazz on the Yama vs Yhwach treatment, we might see another fire episode, pun intended.
Ong 5:09 casual anime fans won't really notice these things but in many of the episodes I notice a lot of meltdown, off mode characters and jank just like you said and I HATED the yellow and green colour they used in episode 9 it undeniably had the worst composting out of any episodes it looks like they put a filter on or just set the hue to yellow and green the character drawings has also been really inconsistent in the past two episodes idk if I'm the only noticing these things
The yellow I agree looked kinda gross and washed out, but I really didn’t mind the green. They maybe made it look too much like toxic waste, but I thought it looked decent.

This Week on anime? More like Dan Da Dan episode 7 analysis. And yeah, The summer Hikaru died caught my attention with the trailer, not only it looks good but it has that subtle horror feeling, like strange things are about to happen, seeing that it has some talented staff keep me more interested in see what is coming.
nobody said otherwise, the ideal scenario would be if they delayed the whole show instead of stoping midway when thing are heating up. Almost no one breaks up released schedule spontaneously because they want to give staff more time(most don't care), they do it cause the project becomes unsustainable, they have no choice. Well atleast its better than jjk situation lol, which just kept chugging along well beyond reaching critical conditions. All this can be avoided if they release these shows a season late but they want the money and money NOW not later.
Yes we do. But we don't like them doing it mid season. It kills the enjoyment of watching the series. A1 was criticized a lot for this (last year in particular was horrendous. 86 ep 22&23, anos voldigoad anime, nier, etc) If they wanna delay it, they should delay the whole show from the beginning.

It was the Reigai filler arc at the tail end of Bleach. It was the final episode of that arc. I don’t know the episode number but that cut I think was done by Hironori Tanaka who made arguably the best animated cuts in Bleach (that and the Ulquiorra vs Vasto Lorde Ichigo in the Hell arc movie)
Re zero's release schedule was already public back when they announced the theatre release for ep 1. PLEASE don't act like it was something sudden. It's literally what they said three months ago.
