I took a year off from playing the Sims after my grandma passed away but watching Kayla's content has gotten me back into it and I just turned the game on for the first time since last August

Video idea: build a starter home but give yourself infinite money and don’t check how much you’ve spent throughout. Try to not add how much money you’ve spent and at the end look and see how much under/over you are
Use the spinny wheel to pick packs and you have to pick a prebuilt room from that pack and you can only use the items in those rooms to decorate. You don’t have to use the room it’s self just the contents. So just that furniture wallpaper flooring clutter etc
Bonus points: Your not allowed to change the swatch of any individual item, only of the whole room (I think that’s something you can do right? I haven’t played TS4 in like months lmao)
Yep I agree... she's always like this, since the beginning. She worries about people that don't have many packs, but then we ask for things like that and she barely tries it.

Dream Home Decorater is actually my number 1 pack when it comes to builds. That was the first pack with moduled furnuture and I still love it SO much. I mean, I can make a huuge full-wall couch and then get 2-tiles one that matches! Not talking about wardrobes, not so functional but so fun to do. And I like swatches a lot.
I bought the Dream Home Decorator pack like a week ago while it was on sale, and as soon as I do you make so much content with it! It's a very fun coincidence haha
I know DHD is super bugged, but it would be a cool video idea to play as random townies and remodel their homes using the random design preferences the game gives them. That way, it's a fun build challenge remodeling their house to their taste using whatever budget they have without having the actual game play bugs.
What do you think about building a bougie jewelry store? The kind where they bring you champagne while you check out engagement rings. Perhaps a little apartment above?
I’m the same way about building starter homes, but in the sims 3 lol. I love having to decide which things to go all out on, and which to cheap out on because that game is really good at making every interior choice a tradeoff (Getting a worse bed means your sim will be in a worse mood for work, cheaping out on the stove or fridge will limit your cooking and can lead to electrocution/fires, cheaping out on the plumbing means needing to spend more on repairs, and that’s not even mentioning all the non-essentials you may want your sim to have)
Kayla please do a mid career family home in mind with a 40k budget maybe it's their first house upgrade and they're moving out of a starter home with 2 or 3 kids. ❤
dream home decorator is easily one of my favourite packs, probably in my top 5. it’s so good with CAS and the build mode is amazing. i love the designer career even if it’s really buggy. :)

I think you should try to build houses that aren’t starter homes. It’s getting repetitive and we’d love to see you go all out with building without a budget
i’d love to see more videos like this but with a slightly higher budget, maybe 30-40k? it’s fun to revisit old packs but would be even more fun if you had a bit more freedom to use the cool stuff!!!
The cork flooring work very well for fake entrance rugs or for mudrooms, I know people who have cork carpet in their mudroom and it honestly looks very good

I would love to see a multi wheel spin video such as a spin for what pack, what colour and what budget or something with similar variables. I think the more spins there are, the more room for chaos and you know we live for the chaos!
I think it would be fun to use the wheel to furnish a room, where you spin separately for every furniture type (ex. kitchen counters, big appliances, chairs, table, rug, clutter...). I say room because furnishing and entire house like that would take ages 😂

i just don’t understand why when you build a 3 sim home you don’t give yourself the budget for 3 sims? if you’re so concerned with being accurate and making starter homes, that would be the way to do it.
You could do a build challenge where you spin for two different packs/kits and then you have to use only those and figure out how to blend them together!

Kayla, would you consider doing more limited pack builds without also simultaneously limiting budget? I would be so thrilled if you would consider it. Because sometimes I am kind of frustrated when, what should showcase a pack, ends up showcasing cheap basegame items and/or debug to fit a budget, rather than really using the awesome items that pack has to offer.
