Survivor needs to change something and make it 30 days. Those few extra days of bonding/downtime could make a huge difference. Now there's never time to smooth over/forget/shift the target so that's why the last one who did something is always the next target.
@@freeloadingmf I wholeheartedly agree. I love the new era but there’s some things I definitely miss from the original days one is the length of time everything so rushed now. I also loved the live reunion shows.

Season 50: challenge threats vs social threats vs strategic threats. For example …Challenge threat was Kyle. Social threat is Teeny. Strategic threat Genevieve. The survivor gods can thank me later 😭
Sorry Stephen. But I am not seeing a Teeny winner edit. She’s just not fleshed out enough. Whereas I have been seeing signs of Rachel winning for a few weeks now.
It’s sisters-in-law or brothers-in-law.. for the same reason it would be shots in the dark. Shot in the darks would mean a single shot in multiple darks, as opposed to shots in the dark being multiple shots in a single dark, which makes so much more sense
I'm so tired of 26 days. There are zero relationships in this show. The only thing we see each episode is strategy talk, because nothing else interesting is happening. No real social developments, moving moments, connections, conflicts. This season in particular has been socially dead, it's ALL strategy. I love a strategic cast, but the complete lack of social connections this season is a letdown.
It’s literally Jeff’s move-to-retirement plan haha. Stopped travelling everywhere, now is shooting for 52 days instead of 78 a year. It’ll be 2 week seasons after 50 haha
Totally. The players don’t have enough time to socialize post merge. They wake up, go to a challenge, then have to vote someone out. Every conversation basically has to be about votes in that timeframe. And now the episodes are 90 minutes, so we’re bombarded with redundant strategy talk every episode just for the obvious person to be voted out
The "shots in the dark" vs "shot in the darks" conversation reminds me of the culs-de-sac scene from Gilmore Girls. I'm team "shots in the dark," following the "culs-de-sac" or "attorneys general" constructions. But I also think prescriptivism is generally a terrible way to approach language, so I think team "shot in the darks" is also correct because we all know what each other mean either way so language is fulfilling its function.
Sam is a golden retriever. He's friendly but has no clue about how to make a strategy, He wants a necklace but no one gives a damn about his opinions. The top dawg is Rachel, followed by Sue and Caroline. Genevieve is a great strategist but has no one banking on her intellect to go anywhere further in the game. With the preview for the next episode shown, the sorority girls are going to knock off Andy and Sam followed by Genevieve. I hate it when girls gang up like this. Felt sad when Kyle was evicted. He had a physical outplay game but the outwit and outlast part of the game was missing by him. Great guy and got hugs from everyone. Respect !!. Rachel is loaded with advantages followed by Sue. Teeny is leaning towards the girls but can't make any moves rather than follow orders.
Apparently, Sam was originally in an alliance with those who were on the bottom, but somehow the underdogs took control over that alliance. And among the underdogs, Rachel is more like a shield for the rest of them. Maybe Genevieve can influence Andy to flip.
Andy is locked for final 3. Every group (Genevieve and Sam, Sue and Caroline, Teeny and Rachael) all want him to be their third for FTC because he’s perceived as extremely beatable. Unless there is a surprise final 2, Andy is extremely insulated from danger
@therealbensoule652 Andy has no immunity idol or advantages up his sleeve. He's the straw that's stirring the drink. Remember. So I don't understand what makes him insulated
@@koshyvaidyan4741 Andy is pretty much a free agent, assuming that Rachel has a tighter alliance with Teeny rather than with Andy. Presumably, none of them would want the third spot, unless one of them were to lose their closest ally.
I wonder if the advantage would have been an idol if one of the people outside of the underdog alliance went on the adventure. From selection of the person to arrival to the location there is plenty of time to decide what advantage to put in the mix.
@@realestatebydeanna1 I think it was actually Teeny. Gabe mentioned it in the exit interview. That is why Andy was teasing Teeny with that snake comment.
One fact about new era survivor that really stuck out to me this episode was the fact that its practically impossible to lie about results of a journey and get away with it. In some cases thats okay and likely by design (say for a pre-merge extra vote with an expiration date). But in this case since the punishment for a lost journey game is always a lost vote, everyone will know immediately after next tribal if Rachel has something or not based on vote tally. It just feels like it limits Rachel's options greatly with an already weak advantage On a broader level, this is just one of the causes for less strong strategic moves in the modern game. Players can't accumulate as much social power due to less time in the game, and can't accumulate as much strategic power due to the inability to keep most advantages secret On a different point though - I have to disagree with Andy's analysis on Kyle vs Genevieve a bit. While I do agree that Kyle running the table should not be a big fear, if you're in solid with the 5 "underdogs" you don't want your plans to be unstable and turn back on yourself. Just one Kyle win and one Sam advantage is all it takes to break apart your final 5. And while Genevieve is a more well rounded player than Kyle, she is also pretty thoroughly defanged at the current moment, and doesnt have the numbers to actually utilize her strengths. That could definitely turn around in the future, but she is obvious enough of a threat right now that it shouldn't be too difficult to mitigate against those risks
handsome people do get unfair advantages in life, they earn more, they have better marriages or relationships or sex life,'and just guessing, won more survivor then'' ugliess'',they won the genetic lottery already, vote them out!
I hope Caroline goes next. Zero social game, horrible in challenges, and isn't strategic at all. All she did was blindside a tribe member bc her game sucks. Teeny is another sheep in this game. She might get carried to the end, but she ain't winning it for me
