So great job and you saved me from A) Breaking the Transmission Dipstick access ( didn't know there was a tab on it and B) from getting a Fluid Shower as I pulled the filter down! I'll be ready for the extra drainage! 👍

Great video. I went to the local Nissan dealer to try to get my transmission serviced with no luck. They advised just a filter was $115 and the gasket was $75 which they did not have in stock so I did a little research and found out that Nissan titan has the same transmission as the ram 3500 transmission code AS69RC. I purchased the gasket and filter from O’Reilly’s for $40. The parts are identical as the Nissan parts. I hope this helps.

I like that Nissan makes this real easy if you just want to change the trans fluid without the filter, I bought my 2016 Titan with 23,000 miles so I just drained the fluid and replaced it with Amsoil which took almost 8 quarts. When I hit around 44,000 I bought all the OEM parts online from Nissan and had a dealer change the filter and supplied the Amsoil. I mainly had them do it for warranty reasons, with dealer records for future resale. I asked for the old filter back and cut it open and found 0 particulates, it really looked new. I have no hard shifts and I tow a lot in the summer, with no worries. Thanks for letting those who think this is difficult that it's pretty easy if you have basic mechanical ability. Just make sure you install the pan bolts with the proper torque specs, and tighten them based on recommended pattern. Loved the video keep them coming.

Another transmission additive I like to use is sea trans made from sea foam. That’s some good stuff. I put it in an old dodge cummins once because it was shifting erratically and it fixed it. Good video though. Thanks man. I’m a Nissan Cummins newby. Just bought my first one 3 months ago and I’ve loved it so far.

Thanks for the video! My 2017 just hit 78k and I’ve had the transmission serviced about every 30k as recommended by the dealership. I have the manual but I don’t remember what it recommends for the transmission. I’ll start changing it myself once everything is out of warranty. I did use the AMSOIL when servicing my old 2006 Land Rover with 220k+ . The AMSOIL fixed the shifting and slipping issues.

Morning , thanks for the video , this is one of many but very clear and very informative .
I followed your you steps exactly and all went smoothly , 10 QTS removed and 10 QTS replaced with Amsoil ATF .
When I started the truck it gave a AT Error warning light and after a 30 seconds of running I put the truck in
gear and the the shift was very hard .
I lets it run for a further 5 minutes then turned it off to go run some errands .
When I returned the truck stated as normal and selected gears VERY smoothly this time , but the AT light is
still on , I checked the AT oil level and it shows high when cold ... but as stated 10 QTS out , 10 QTS in ...
Today I planed to drive it when I get home to see if there is any change .
Any advise would be greatly appreciated sir .

Help , I just changed my fluid and followed the exact steps you showed and first start I have an AT Error light on the dash .
the gear selection is very hard and only turned the truck around and parked it .
I changed the filter , gasket drained 10 QTS and refilled with 10 QTS Amsoil Signature ATF .
    Please advise

@jonthus1 check the fluid level when truck running and warm in park. Pull the dipstick and check fluid level. Don't ever trust what eas in truck. Put the amount in that you draine then check on dipstick

I mainly use seafoam in my truck every 1-2 months. Stuff is good and will keep everything clean. I also will use power service gray bottle at beginning of the winter time before it gets cold to keep it from gelling. But mainly I just use the seafoam.
