Been fishing steelhead on Vancouver island since the late 70’s ,,seen lots of changes here . On The bucket list to throw a camper on the truck and grab the fly rods and take the journey up there . Great video

Happiness for me is fly fishing for Steelhead, catch & release, I use to travel to fish 5 States and two Canadian Provinces from lakes to rivers, now I am stuck with 9 to 5 job, work to pay bills, not happy, but thats life.
capt Q. I saw ur homestead / garden. there was long trenches with brown cardboard boxes. do u use the old dirt that on side of the trenches and mix it up with compose and topsoil, manure, blood meal mixture?
I remember a time here in WA when the salmon we're so abundant you'd get a hit on every cast. The roads would flood in early fall and you could watch them swim down the roadways. I don't think my son will ever experience this in his lifetime. Sad.
Hey man! Damn it! i just finished a long ramble of my own connection with the natural enviroment and my own feeling of uncertainty regarding the fraser valley salmon fishery. I accidentally erased it so i guess the universe is telling me to get to the point. Your message is important and moves all of us who watch your channel... My biggest question is will you ever take the chance on doing a piece on fish farming...stifling this lobby is fundamental to salmon conservation and is so connected to your own personal story...will you do a piece any time in the future on what your feelings on this issue are. So many people here in the Fraser valley are circulating petitions but no one has the balls to petition on the real issues because they have been so successfully stonewalled in the past. It honestly looks like all levels of government including the DFO couldn't collectively give a rats ass. It breaks my heart tying up for another season of uncertainty. But i will savor every precious moment that it bears. Cant wait to fish the tailwaters of the Chihailus in the almost wilderness experience a 50 minute paddle north of Harrison Mills. Keep up the awesome work man! Fuck the Perseids were awesome last night at the top of Rundle mountain I shit you not the sky parted at 10 and closed at 12 for all of thoise who made the gamble on the excursion in light of the weather forecasts.
