Angela, you never come across as pretentious. I think we are flocking to you because you have been quilting for so long and have a great teaching style! It’s always a delight to hear about your creative process. Tula’s quilt turned out beautiful as usual. Thanks for sharing! Have a blast in Florida. I envy them.

Angela, your quilting style is amazing. I have to admit, my free motion quliting skills have greatly improved because of you. I'm not afraid to do the fillers and branch out. I actually did more quilting after I had bound one of my quilts. It was just lacking texture. Anyway, thanks for all your inspiration!

I have been waiting to see this. It’s so stinking cute. I’ve ordered a quilt kit and can hardly wait for it to arrive. I think I will have to show this video to my long arm quilter because I love how you did the potion jars and portraits. So beautiful. ❤❤ You and Tula make such a great team.

Thanks for showing when and where you do thread color changes (and when you don’t). Having gone through FMQ challenges I got this idea that I shouldn’t break thread but I love that you talk about where it is worth it and where it isn’t.

I have had the opportunity to see Tula's quilts and your quilting up close and personal. OMG. They are so fun!!! The quilting is amazing. My favorite was the globe with the ladder and space man. Too funny!!
You inspire me so much as I have no interest in competition quilting and neither do you or Tula. That opens up so much more creativity when you know they won't be judged. You can have fun and not worry that judges will appreciate it. On the other hand, it is sad that your collaboration quilts with Tula aren't more available for others to see. They are truly works of art.

You mentioned working in rows although I see it is okay to jump around within that row? It does appear that you don't continuously quilt left to right right to left back and forth. What I see you doing here is more 'spot design' working in one space then moving to another within a certain size of row. Is that right?

**I happened to notice you snip the thread tail once in this video, which leads me to ask... **Is it "safe" to simply cut tails as opposed to "burying" them?
Or is the sheer magnitude of thread color changes dictate whether to snip or bury?

  • @betseykuzia8477

I have never worked with a long arm. Do you roll forward to do those specific areas or do you start from the top and work your way down (make sense???)
