What are your go-to pain relief techniques?

One symptom I have makes it easy for me to get headaches even just randomly. If the pain becomes really irritating, I'll try to distract myself with another type of sensory input.

Ice packs, Tylenol and Sumatriptan for migraines. Tense and release, stretching, and self massaging for muscle aches.

Just watched your vid on feeling like a burden and found it very helpful. I, like many have a lot of chronic pain. Feeling sick comes with it and it's done a number on my life. Thanks for the kind words. God Bless

I've heard good things about tumeric and turmeric tea, I might have to try it! I love its flavor in curry dishes 😊

For me, i find music incredibly helpful. It doesn't directly ease the pain, but it helps both distract me and releases endorphins and changes my attitude, which really helps. It can take me from a 9 to a 6 over minutes.

I'm a stay-at-home mom that homeschools her three children. Pain management is both most likely taking Tylenol and just bring through the pain. I'm tired all the time and more often than not everything hurts. At night I take a steering hot shower in a very dark bathroom because it calms me down. Then I usually stretch for about 20 minutes before bed and pop everything back into place. I sleep propped up with two pillows behind my head and one pillow under my knees. I also sleep with a weighted blanket, and two comforters on top of that. I feel so sorry for my husband because he has to put up with my crazy routines every night but he assured me that it doesn't bother him. When he hears me pulling my covers up over me and everything's clicking and popping I think he realizes that there's nothing I can do about it I'm doing the best that I can. I just do what I have to do to function and then try to rest when I get a chance but usually that's just at night and by then, im in too much pain to sleep. Oy

I'm glad you have an understanding partner! I definitely agree that pain management is often just pushing through the pain.
