Great video as ever carl and Alex. I was invited to fish the trent in September this year my 1st time ever. It is a truly awesome place. Caught my 1st ever barbel there. A truly wonderful experience can't wait to get back. As barbel are in short supply around me.

You should try Ratcliffe Weir & Beeston Weir on the River Trent.
Packed with many species.: Barbel, Chub, Pike, Perch etc.
Loads of Big Chub in the run off at Ratcliffe Weir.
The Barbel hang right up close to the weir usually.
You will need Waders for some of the best pegs.

You were up my end of the country and didn't call in for a coffee or to see my fish tank! What a disappointment. But seriously lads great vid and some very nice fish.
There are some huge shoals of Bream in Trent yes. I've found them a few times in the past.
Good average sizes too. 3 - 6lb area. (There's obviously some really big ones to be caught too)
Biggest I've seen personally from the Trent is about 8-9lb.

You definitely must come fishing the Rhein river here in Germany . The barbel here are sooo huge . Please I need some tips about the strong current rivers , the Rhein river is so strong I can barely make the weight holding still in one place and struggling for making it not ending near the shore or behind a rock …. All my catches were near the shore and not active as fishing in the middle of the river, Plus the huge difference between summer and winter fishing making things really harder.thanks in advance a huge fan and subscriber

You guys probably said it and i just missed it but what is the flavour of the pellets you are using for barbel? I usually just use worms and thats it but i really want to try feeder fishing so i would really like to know what type of gear i should be using.
