Thanks for the info. I'm curious what you think about Polygon Premier 24 options, or why you haven't reviewed them. Of course, tough to consider when you can't find them locally, but still they look enticing.
Thanks for the kids bike review. I hope there are more to come over the next few years, as I'm about 2-3 years away from needing to replace my child's relatively new bike.
Scott Contessa is a really good value for a 24" kids bike thats a nice alternative to the top 3 brands. I built one recently and was impressed with it compared to the kids bikes I have built from a well known top 3 brand.
My kid’s shifter is different. It’s 19lbs with the kickstand off. She’s a swimmer, but does all kinds of workouts, plus running and biking. She wants to do a Tri but I’m a lil unsure if this bike would hold up. The pedals get so low to the ground I’m afraid to put foot or toe pedals on. At 7yrs old she’d swim minimum 1k meters open water, now she’s 11yrs old and this worries me.
grip shifter should be a sufficient reason not to buy this bike. With some hardening due to obvious poor maintenance and sweaty hands, kids don't have enough grip strength to switch back up to shorter gears. Ask me how I know.
The microshift low toque is the easiest twist shifter I've ever felt. And the derailleur on them is compatible with cheap shimano 7 speed trigger shifter. So that's worth considering if you have even the slightest mechanical knowledge
Not just a review, but a thoughtful and super helpful discussion about what to look for in a kid's bike in general. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

Scott for sure has some great kids bike, but I'd prefer a scale RC 400 or 600 with rigid fork, much lighter.
@@markotrieste Contessa 24 comes in rigid version.
Thank you! I haven't been able to find one locally to me to check out. I'll keep looking!
I’d look at the voom. The stem, and rack options are nice. Still looking tho. Nice write up 🙌🏻
My daughter rides the Woom 5, it is a great bike but almost $200 more than this one.
Awesome informative video. The 6 and 9 year old are pros

What type of shifter does she have?
