I am a Packer fan. The Packer organization and the city of Green Bay owe a huge debt of gratitude to George Halas. Mr. Halas went to his father in law for a loan so he could help the Packers get out of debt. He personally spoke to the people of Green Bay encouraging them to pass a bill for financing so the Packers could stay in Green bay. Yes, the Chicago Bear's are our greatest rival but off the playing field Green Bay and Chicago are united in each other's success.

People can say they’re an owner, but in reality they’re only shareholders. Johnny Roberts There is no actual owner, The team President acts as a de facto owner by firing/hiring team personnel and participates in owners meetings representing the Packers. I’m not a Packers fan but I know this.
@@ranelgallardo7031 You are correct. This comment was referring to those who believe that this “ownership” has extreme value. It is definitely cool to call yourself an “owner” if you do own a share, but in reality you don’t receive any monetary value.
It does my head in that all sporting clubs in America are privately owned. Member owned, or at least not-for-profit (it's complicated), is the standard model of sporting clubs in Australia. This makes it our team.
James Tetzlaff they are in line to get season tickets by the goal posts and they have a whole set of other perks I guess if u have the means and from that town go for it cuz the perks ain’t bad and the cost isn’t that expensive since it’s 10,000 public owners or more
Brian Maves. Packers spokesman Aaron Popkey equates share ownership to making charitable contributions to the team. According to Popkey, instead of a financial return on investment, the appeal of owning shares is validated through emotional support of the franchise.

I saw you mention us losing Jennings and Driver. Since when is losing a guy who missed half the season and didn't even rack up 400 yards and a guy who was basically a non-factor the entire season considered big losses? I guess we'll just have to deal with our other receivers like Nelson, Jones, Cobb, and Finley. Oh how will we be able to cope? Here's an idea. How about you actually try worrying about your own team for a change? Then you might be looked at as a real fan for once.

Merchandise sales, ticket sales, all those other things that go on. Selling stock to raise money (issuance of new stock) is very normal for even massive public companies who have billions in the bank. You do not spend your own money, you spend other peoples money. You simply sell shares.
