Sir, I did my master degree thesis on sequential ground motion (Mainshock-After) effect on the different structures, the only thing which was confused me was the selection of station of any specific area, because I studied many papers and for the same ground motion in each paper their stations was different. For example, for the Chi-Chi Taiwan earthquake in different papers stations was different for the same ground motion. what I want to ask is, How to know to know the exact ground motion?
and sir for example I am living in Kabul/Afghanistan right now how to find the earthquakes for the Kabul which I want to use in my analysis?

Sir, Your Site to source distance govern this factor. I think we select a center which has nearest source to site distance as of our own.
