Thank you for the kind words! You know, your right, most Greyhawk content is by old Grognards with grouchy demeanor and tend to droll on long waxes of nostalgia that other grognards find mildly interesting. That is no way to bring in new Greyhawk fans. :)
Temple of Elemental Evil is my favorite of all time. I've ran it once and I've played it under two DMs for a total of four times. Once it was just me and the DM and I outfitted a party tailor made for that dungeon ( two elf clerics ) and still got stomped. Once we played with 3.5 edition characters and the monsters kept 1e stats and still got stomped. Hint: It's not the hack n slash dungeon crawler it appears to be. And if you've ever run it, you just cannot play it. *Unless you can keep your mouth shut knowing the party is walking into a TPK.
@@fredgarvinism the moathouse is pretty rough and should not be taken lightly. Of course, it's a stand alone adventure and it's a Gygax adventure. Although an unusually straightforward adventure for Gygax. I'm tempted to go on and on but too many spoilers with this adventure.
That is what most groups face. Its a death trap in there. Also, the forces at the bottom of Moathouse is a no win situation without thinking outside of the box. No group I ever heard of defeated Lareth. No group I know of ever won the TOEE module. The only way a group can do it is with a DM that doesnt know what he is doing. This is why I have turned this epic campaign into more of a sandbox with TOEE meets Game of Thrones. Much more to do in the outside world before even gettting to the TOEE temple :)
Really well done, you two do a great job of explaining why Grey hawk is so addictive instead of the complaint that it was generic.

We did not even make it past the moat house the first run. Frog got the cleric, tick got the thief.. So much fun.
