People do need to seriously realise that it’s not too late!! It’s not the length of time, it’s the strength of your will and mind! Ended up with A*A*AA because of your motivation to do the mosttttt - I only wish that people take heed of your advice ❤️
Bethany Leigh I only did 4 so that’s a bit better!!! I was lucky because I thoroughly enjoyed my subjects and have such a love for academia that it came naturally and I wanted to achieve - for me I imagine it’s so hard if you’re just trying to “get by”, trying to actually find enjoyment in your subjects is the most important thing!!!! Also really really use specs, everything you need to know is on there - make sure by the time you sit your exam you’ve worked through everything - then you’ll nail it Xx
I feel you Ibz! I'm from the endz too! North London brap brap! I went to college as a single mum with a toddler, did 3 voluntary jobs, and re-sat my GCSE English exam with no family support. The teachers didn't think I was even going to make it through college because I wasn't a traditional student. Only one of my teachers actually believed in me. I was predicted to fail and I actually got one of the top grades in my class, and passed my re-sit too. It was hard, there were times when I didn't sleep, times where I had to put my child first and take a break, and almost dropped out in the first year, but I did it, and I'm proud! I didn't end up at Oxbridge or EXIT-HERRRR, but I did end up at a Russell Group university. I felt the same way about UCL as you did about Exeter, but I was messed about by "UC-heLLLL" in a similar way that you did with Exeter. I went through the same b/s when I arrived at university, being a non-traditional student ((reh tear tear)). After a couple of years of study there, I had to take another break from education b/c life gets in the way sometimes. But I'm don't worry fam, I'm returning to uni in September '18 to bring them my seasoning and finish!
It was A Level English literature. Any tips? Just study hard and know the key themes, topics and arguments, make sure you know the stuff you’ve been studying basically. Read, read and read some more. Especially read around your subject (books, magazines and articles related to the themes and topics of what you’ve been studying). Examiners love it when you can contextualise other works and compare them to the books you’ve been studying. I even quoted a tv show in my final exam (which I scored near maximum marks on so it must have worked!). Do practice papers and start doing timed responses to the questions. When I did my A levels I practiced until I was able to score a mark a minute.
Sometimes the biggest barrier we have is OURSELVES. You're so right Ibz people get too caught up on the timing of their success. It happens when it's meant to happen and when you're in the right emotional space to appreciate it and pay it forward into the life that you want.
YESSS!! THIS IS ME! Teachers told me I was going to fail at GCSE, and did I prove them wrong. I am now sat here watching this with a 1st Class Law Degree doing my LPC.
"... and I was like 'Girl, do you hear yourself?'" oh my gosh, yes, ibz, this is so important to stop negative thoughts, I'm still learning to do that, thank you!
everytime i revise i always have your videos playing in the background not only for background noise (loool i cant study in silence) but idk i believe your words would eventually affect my subconscious mind (in a good way) and lead me to getting good grades. it's almost like your videos are subliminals
Thanks for making this Video Ibz! Okay so I blitzed my GCSEs a few years ago and there were expectations for me to do really well at A-Level and apply to Cambridge for Vet Med, but it didn't quite work out like that aha. Even if your A-levels don't go to plan, It's not the end of the world!!! I ended up studying Biological science for my undergrad, and actually not getting the grade in chemistry was actually the BEST thing for me. I later realised that Vet Med was DEFINITELY not for me, and I would have dropped out. I graduated with a 2:1 in Biology last year, and am now doing an MSc in Physiotherapy at Southampton University, which I absolutely LOVE :) A wise man once said "There are many roads that lead to Rome".
what grades did you end up getting in a level? this comment was exactly what i needed to see, i was thinking getting back predicted grades was going to be the end of the world for me
@@henryjames4623 are u going to give those exams again, chsnge subjects or something ?cuz mine are bad too but idk whether to give all the as and a2 exams in one go?
I’ve done the exact same thing as Ibz. I failed my AS levels at one college due to family and money issues and I moved to a different college and I’m currently doing my 3rd year of Alevels. And I just want to thank you personally Ibz. I didn’t have anyone to support me when I failed, but your videos helped and still help me to motivate myself and I can’t wait to prove myself this year in A2! Thankyou Ibz you’re my inspiration!
When I'm feeling unmotivated, I always ask this, I call it the WHW System: Why am I in this current position? How did I get here? What am I striving for? This has helped me to self-motivate and become more grateful. Gratitude these days is rarely acknowledge, however, it's a key-part of fulfillment. Don't be the obsequious fool, trying so hard to receive admiration from others, because I can tell you that's not going to work for you in the long run. I know this is going to sound selfish, but please do things for yourself in order to fill self-fufilled... or do what I take my hand at becoming the obsequious fool... the choice is yours.
Honestly Ibz, this crow that was representing Leeds university at my careers fair tried to insinuate that I won't be able to get A*AA to do Law at my choices of Russel Group Uni's because I'm black. I have been down so lately because of it and this video has really given me the motivation I need to study harder and to do more to get those grades I need. Thank you so much.
Kaliyah Bower omg that was rude of him! Girrrl, use that as a damn motivation. Keep your chin up and work for those grades sistahhh!! I'm sure you'll do amazing.
It's a wonderful video (obviously) and I'm glad to see many fantastic success stories in the comments, but can I just say that A-levels are not the most important thing in your life. I was working my ass off and genuinely worked for A*A*A*, but missed my AAB offer. I went to a RG uni and first thing they told me was "oh... you're lucky to be here". Fast-forward few months and not only I'm getting 1st and 2:1s, but also managing to get involved into great opportunities THANKS TO MY HOBBIES. Meanwhile, a lot of straight A* students fail to get a job. So please - DO focus on your education. DO try your best. But DON'T forget about your interests outside of school, they are way more important than your grades when it comes to applications. Heads up to everyone and please can someone teach me how to make good curry xx
Ibz you are a saviour , I'm legit sat in college rn crying because I don't think I'll get the English grades stressing out thinking how I'm going to improve in such a short time then BOOM ibz uploads this videos and my prayers are quite literally answered thankyou !! 💖😩
I’m sitting here... at my desk... with a pen in hand and staring at the wall, revising for my GCSE’s. What for? I only asked myself that question after watching this, and now, I can list the reasons on WHY I need to put the effort in, and damn it helps to ask yourself that question. I’ve never been anywhere near the top of my classes, but that DOESN’T MATTER because it doesn’t mean ANYTHING. As you say, we need to set our OWN limits and don’t let the people who are above us look down on us. Thank you IBZ 🙌🏼💗
It's actually so mad how much I relate to you. I'm labelled constantly and seeing someone who had similar labels excell so much makes me want to work so hard. I need to prove everyone wrong and break away from those labels. I also no longer let my background hold me back. Oh dont worry. Just do YOUR best. The rest will surely work out. Focusing on getting into one institute can ruin your life. I did not get in bus yaas, thingsworked our perfectly. Trust yourself and do all you can. You are the best.. your mind talks shit.
Recently went up from an E to a B in my yr 12 bio tests and my teacher legit confronted me thinking I was cheating. I have never been more motivated in my LIFE to prove her wrong- so come mocks watch that B turn into an A bitchhh 💪🏾
Honestly bro you have no idea how much you changed my academic life. Coming from a similar background to yours really makes me resonate with this. I will get 3 A*s. Thank you bro
Thanks for this video. I'm in the IB program and I keep doubting myself because at times I feel like this program is not for me since I did not do well in my GCSEs which is different where I live. And I have no other alternative than to stay in the program. But the fact that u went from DDD to AAA has truly given me motivation. I've been watching all kinds of vids saying that if "you werent smart during those GCSE days then you wont be smart in IB" as it is for only naturally intelligent people but idk
Your A level Sociology videos are so helpful. I got a high B in my AS exams, and I'm aiming for an A/A* in my A Levels. I just have one more A level CIE Left - sociology Paper 3. I'm starting to work Really hard for it. With enough hard work, i think I will be able to achieve an A/A* not only in Sociology, but in my 3 other subjects. So overall, I'm aiming for 4As / 4A*'s. It's important to be confident, so I'm working hard and telling myself I can do it, because honestly? I can. And I will 📚📖✍🏼 Thank you, ibz!
Fatima Congrats on your grades🎉I know this is a year late but I’ve really been struggling with sociology. Do you have any tips to improve my C to an A/A*?
i had BDE in my AS German, Physics and Maths (respectively) and it absolutely crushed me, I literally have lost all motivation to do well so this was helpful! My absolute goal for the end of this year would be ACC to be honest
Oh my god, you are amazing. I had been struggling these past weeks to get myself together especially after I got into a relationship with my, now-boyfriend, I’ve only been spending time with him and throwing my studies to a side, not thinking straight or about my academic needs. This video came up in my suggested and I honestly cannot be more thankful, it has motivated me to get through my studying/revision and create a boundary with my boyfriend to let him know my studies is not an option but a priority. Thank you for your motivational words Ibz, definitely a new and happy subscriber right here. xx
I moved from my country to London last year and even though I was successful in my old school, because it was a new language and subjects everyone expected me to fail my GCSEs. My parents just assumed I wouldn’t pass English in the first take, and if I passed anything at all it would be with 4-5’s. But I’m in year 11 this year and I came out of my mocks with 2 9s, 3 8s, 4 7s and 2 6s! If you aim to be successful there is nothing that can stop you!
I find it so hard to actually get motivated and do work but just listening to this video has given me so much will power and hope that I can do well. Thank you so much Ibz ❤️❤️ I’ll listen to this on repeat while revising 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Every time I feel down about studies I love watching your channel. As I too have such a bad education. You inspired me do much. You are one of the reason I continue. I passed my maths functional skills and doing great in Btec level 1 science
Endless love for you ❤️ you bring hope, motivation and happiness to so many people just like you who feel like they're trapped in a box, you're showing us that there's a way out and that it can be done and I'm so grateful, keep breaking those walls down and good luck with ur finals xxx
This is the best thing that I have ever seen! I know this truly came from your heart and whenever I feel unmotivated I will just watch this video again...... Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!
I used to think everyone in top colleges/universities are always people who are stressed, grumpy, or nerds but you changed it all... thank you so much. you are the first person to prove me wrong and i hope to see more people like you :-)
Legit needed this. So glad I came straight to your channel I have no one who believes that I can achieve the best. Now I have hope that I'll be the first person to get past GCSE in my family. You're a great source of motivation ibz especially during my "studying season" thank you ssoooo much for this.❤
Oh my god thank you. I have people around me always making me feel like I am stupid. Thank you for this. This is my new word, unstoppable. Thank you for this
I got ACD in my mocks, my predicted is BBC but the uni want to go to (Nottingham) offered me ABB. Not sure whether firming would be the best choice for me but I really wanna go there.
Thank you ibz, I'm getting ds and es now and people are saying that its hard to go up TWO grades, I've been thinking this exact thing and you've proved it.
To anyone watching this video, never let others put you down. Everyone has talent in something, if you work hard and have passion for your subject, you will surely succeed! The same goes for anything in life really; getting your first job, going for promotion, pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. You can do it if you really want to achieve it.
I love you IBZZ, I have gcses in a month and I just got into my dream college. I can do it and that is all thanks to you man. I have been watching you since I was in year10. I love you ibz. I LOVE YOU WE ALL DO PLEASE NEVER STOP :)
I'm gonna take ibz as my inspiration and motivation for A2 exams. LY and TY I was in a mid life crisis and after this I'm pumped and motivated! Heck yeahhh
YOU ARE A F*CKING FOUNTAIN OF INSPIRATION.... you’re one of the few TH-cam’s that make motivate remind me go harder at the A Levels I do. I appreciate you for that Ibz💕🙏🏽
Yo dude I'm really loving your channel. I'm about to move to England on the 5th of october, I'll start gaining some money by working and then my objective is to study computer science and software engeneering, you really are an insiration to me in this very moment.
I'm resisting A2 maths this year and I'm currently working towards an A after getting a C last year. Ibz your story and your motivation has honestly helped me so much just to focus and work hard and just get to where I want to be so thankyou :)
I really needed this😂 I hate target grades too, the fact throughout Gcses they told me i would get Ds because i got bad sats results when i was in year6 due to my epilepsy being bad at the time made me feel so low. Ended up passing all of them with As and Bs!
I am at the stage now when I am praying to every single God possible so that I pass my exams (I work really hard but I don't feel it's enough). Hopefully I will get back to do my other exams. But congrats to you for having motivation to do so well.
People do need to seriously realise that it’s not too late!! It’s not the length of time, it’s the strength of your will and mind! Ended up with A*A*AA because of your motivation to do the mosttttt - I only wish that people take heed of your advice ❤️

Hiya Jack!
Hello Jack
I went from an E to an A in English Literature. It can be done if you have the will and desire to put the work and effort in.

k eke im a fellow self sabotager too 🙆🏻 been doing it for years but it ends now!!!’ here’s to us doing well!!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Fam... I needed this.
Recently went up from an E to a B in my yr 12 bio tests and my teacher legit confronted me thinking I was cheating. I have never been more motivated in my LIFE to prove her wrong- so come mocks watch that B turn into an A bitchhh 💪🏾
When I think of someone doing physchology English and sociology I think of either a girl or a super zesty guy and this really fits that stereotype
Honestly bro you have no idea how much you changed my academic life. Coming from a similar background to yours really makes me resonate with this. I will get 3 A*s. Thank you bro
A levels suck 😭
Thanks for this video. I'm in the IB program and I keep doubting myself because at times I feel like this program is not for me since I did not do well in my GCSEs which is different where I live. And I have no other alternative than to stay in the program. But the fact that u went from DDD to AAA has truly given me motivation. I've been watching all kinds of vids saying that if "you werent smart during those GCSE days then you wont be smart in IB" as it is for only naturally intelligent people but idk
this may sound weird but your lips seem so moisturised like wow
k eke ikr ❤️😂
Fentyyyyyyyyy
Your A level Sociology videos are so helpful. I got a high B in my AS exams, and I'm aiming for an A/A* in my A Levels. I just have one more A level CIE Left - sociology Paper 3. I'm starting to work Really hard for it. With enough hard work, i think I will be able to achieve an A/A* not only in Sociology, but in my 3 other subjects. So overall, I'm aiming for 4As / 4A*'s.
It's important to be confident, so I'm working hard and telling myself I can do it, because honestly? I can. And I will 📚📖✍🏼
Thank you, ibz!
Fatima Congrats on your grades🎉I know this is a year late but I’ve really been struggling with sociology. Do you have any tips to improve my C to an A/A*?
Your speech really hit me in the heart. Love you so much Ibz ❤️
From the moment you started talking I knew that I wanted to listen and your so real for this I find it very inspiring thank you, God bless!
This is amazing! Honestly needed a reminder like this! Thank youuuu Ibz!!! You’re so inspiring!!🙇🏽♀️🧠💜
i had BDE in my AS German, Physics and Maths (respectively) and it absolutely crushed me, I literally have lost all motivation to do well so this was helpful! My absolute goal for the end of this year would be ACC to be honest
Ily thank you for this motivational video, put me back on my feet for studying for A2
THANK YOU SO SO MUCH for this honestly; and thank you for acknowledging the financial and family struggles impacting your education too x
Fills me with so much joy listening to your progress. Break all the limits Ibz. Lyt.

"Come in year 7, 10, 11 I didn't care if people said I will get Ds" That's pretty much me now and I am in the first year of A levels!
so what ur saying is i can move my grade C to an A* I actually didn't even know that was possible cause of the whole grading system
Did you move that many grades up?
I used to think everyone in top colleges/universities are always people who are stressed, grumpy, or nerds but you changed it all... thank you so much. you are the first person to prove me wrong and i hope to see more people like you :-)
I am in year 12 and I got today 3 D's :/

I got ACD in my mocks, my predicted is BBC but the uni want to go to (Nottingham) offered me ABB. Not sure whether firming would be the best choice for me but I really wanna go there.
Used your revision and organisation tips for over a year and safe to say it's paying off. Thank you.
Loving the consistency Ibz!
Thank you ibz, I'm getting ds and es now and people are saying that its hard to go up TWO grades, I've been thinking this exact thing and you've proved it.

Na because I LIVE AND BREATHE to hear that ‘LIIIISTENNNN’ at the beginning of these videos😭😭come thru ibz x
I had a 65 on my chemistry and I realised that I had enough time. The semester is almost over and I have a 89. There is always time my mum said.
I'm gonna take ibz as my inspiration and motivation for A2 exams. LY and TY I was in a mid life crisis and after this I'm pumped and motivated! Heck yeahhh
>few weeks before GCSEs sat here doing 8 hours a day ***sad times***.
Honestly these videos are like boosts of motivation. What I really need rn!
YOU ARE A F*CKING FOUNTAIN OF INSPIRATION.... you’re one of the few TH-cam’s that make motivate remind me go harder at the A Levels I do. I appreciate you for that Ibz💕🙏🏽
I got CCD for predicted grades😬😬. I didn’t take year 12 seriously how do I explain this to my parents?

I really needed this😂 I hate target grades too, the fact throughout Gcses they told me i would get Ds because i got bad sats results when i was in year6 due to my epilepsy being bad at the time made me feel so low. Ended up passing all of them with As and Bs!
A little late to say this but the blonde hair suits you so well
You have no idea how much I needed this.
I am at the stage now when I am praying to every single God possible so that I pass my exams (I work really hard but I don't feel it's enough). Hopefully I will get back to do my other exams. But congrats to you for having motivation to do so well.
I actually needed this motivation 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
