In the 90's there was an economic turmoil in Malaysia. Head of the government (Dr.Mahathir) seeked help from the IMF. Their condition that they will take over the oil company Petronas, 100% control of our Insurance companies (which foreign companies allowed too hold not more than 49%) and a lot more conditions such as raise the price of goods, devalue our currency and stop the subsidised. In the end we skip the loan. We are doing well today. Long live Palestine.
