I remember seeing her on TV. I've always thought she was beautiful and still do. I love her voice, too. She was born in 1959 like me. Keep on singing Marie.
I was in love with this beautiful lady and song, when i was a child, dont think much as changed, she was such a pretty young thing, why do we grow old.!!!!
THIS IS THE 'BEST' RENDITION I'VE HEARD YET OF THIS SONG. Talk against Marie all you choose, but she really nailed it with this song (my opinion only), very strong from start to finish. Good for her.
Talk about Marie?? What is there to say that isn't exceedingly positive. She's beautiful, she's a great singer who comes from a good family, and she's a nice person to boot
Marie. Recently we had a close friend take his life. It was comforting to know that we were told that when someone does something like that, they are beyond reason because their sickness is so strong. I suffer from deep depression, and I have a tremendous amout of empathy for you. I also am happy in knowing that scriptures from the Bible cannot lie, since they come from God. John 5:28,29. Im so sorry for your loss.
Oh Marie Osmond was America's Sweet Heart in the 70's. Its too bad we don't have good wholesome music like this anymore. And have someone like Marie as a good role model for women.
Marie reminds me of a very strong Women.....who has had her share of bad times...lovely voice and not very hard to look at....i think we all wish her the very best...and hope to see more of her on TV...perhaps with her own talk show...or something along those lines....
I was nuts about Marie back in the 70s, she was my first crush. Had her pictures from the teen magazines all over my wall. She had a beauty that was completely natural.
I don't know about you guys but in 1973 I was 16 years old and when I heard her sing this song I fell head over heals for her. You mentioned her "R's". They just made her more endearing. Thanks for posting this video, I doubt I have seen it since then.
This song was such a great hit it was played very frequently on the radios then. The song is very tender and Romantic. Very nice to hear so many years later.
We sang on radio as a child. Tv with Brady bunch, partridge family etc. On stage all over the world etc. We played seven instruments and received national fame. We are presently the only female Opperetta singer
Toni & Marie, How can you forget these 2, brother and sis' with me when I was little and wrote a song book with the lyrics and others but with words my own ha ha ha.... Memory ~
Well Then! I Shall Share my info', I use to sing this a lot in my bedroom while my friends went out to the playground, played, also I would play a lot of her brother's songs and I sang along with them, also I drew them and put the on my bedroom walls! also my brother and I use to do our own brother, sister act like for our own tv show at home! very entertaining it was, my mom loved!! it was wonderful memories back then! Thanks!
I love this song, this was my 1 of my nan's favourite songs. When she died my mum was requested to sing it at my nan's funeral. Happy and sad memories :-)(
OMG Marie, this brings back so many memories to me. I realize now where my soft melotic voice comes from-I watched u & Donny on TV all my childhood life. I love u guys & I'm actually singing Puppy Love this wkend for a party (songs from the past). I hope you"ll be ok through the holidays & God bless your family....
Thanks for the memories---DOES REMIND ME OF MY YOUTH! I'd hear this song ALL the time on the radio, back in the days, aaaahh, what a LOVELY "Angelic voice" she had! :) I MISS MY YOUTH! :(
Marie, I'm so sorry to hear about Michael. It's such a tragedy and I can't imagine how difficult it must be to lose a child. I know that you will get through this somehow. God bless you and I will keep you in my prayers. Love you forever Marie!
Marie, I am so sorry for your loss. It was a shock when I read of Michael's death in the newspaper this morning as I was reading the paper and getting ready for church. I know that you are torn up, but you are a strong person and I know that with the help of your family and friends, you will get through this. We love you, Marie. I'm praying for you.
I like it. I didn't think I would, since I thought nobody could sing it better than Anita Bryant. However, Marie can sing it great. Thanks for posting it.
I'm a Rangers fan, but my mate Monty (Killie fanatic) took me to the match that day. I told him, if he took me to the final, Killie would win with a goal in last 10 minutes. He insisted I go to the match. The rest is history. What can I say??? What blew me away that day was "Paper Roses" . Still brings a tear to my eye when I try and talk about it now. I'm so sorry Marie on the death of your son! May God bless and keep you and all your family during this difficult time. I feel your pain and you are in my prayers. You sang this song beautifully at 14. I hope someday you will sing it again and make it a hit all over again.

Seeing Marie and Donnie in Vegas was an extraordinary experience, Marie has a voice with the range of pop to opera. It is a best kept secret.
Marie.
