I just finished this shawl using the Heather coloured yarn.it’s absolutely beautiful. Easy to make as it grows so quickly and it is a beautiful yarn for an unusual shaped shawl. Thank you Anja for another super pattern. Xx

Rich sumptuous pattern Anja. That bit of mohair gives the shawl it's exquisite luxury. Well done lady. I can picture this pattern in a tonal tan/brown effect. I don't crochet shawls, only blankets, but I enjoyed the outcome that you have so pleasingly executed. How proud you must be in creating this fabulous piece of texiled art. Lovely tutorial!! Thank you I’m planning on doing this with fingering yarn and much smaller hook. Do you think it will look good if I crochet not only in the back loops, but through both loops? I’m worried my yarn may be way too delicate for back loop only and it may stretch too much?

I personally think you really need a thicker, more cosy yarn to make this shawl Monica, but by all means give it a try, be careful how big a hook you go up to though, Anja x

You can crochet through both loops but you won’t get the effect that this shawl has, you are right though the loops would stretch, good luck, Anja x
