Great video thanks!! Dont forget your new washers, I was just informed at the marine shop that the new washers are designed to be used once and replaced after each fluid change.

    Friend i need some help.
I got a water in oil in the propeller chamber[lower boot] on the same engine as yours 4hp 4t 2007.
What can be the cause, can it come from the gasket under the small water impeller?

Hey Jack - do u have any idea how to flush this engine using that wash valve?

Thank you very much for these videos. I have the same exact motor and was able to do a seasonal engine and gear oil change with the help of your videos. One question though - do you think it's a good idea to use fogging oil when storing the engine for winter (about 6-7 months in my case) as suggested in the service manual? If you use it yourself, could you perhaps post a video about where should the fogging oil be sprayed on this Yamaha F4?

Juhani do not use it myself, you can spray it in to the carburator, maybe remove the airfilter. Disconnect petrol and let the engine run out of petrol, while spraying the fogging oil. And also you can remove the sparkplug and spray some fogging oil into the cylinder. Don’t know how to get the fogging oil under the pistons, in the crankcase, but I guess there is some oil additive for it. Some ideas from the top of my head. Good luck.

Thanks for the videos on the Yamaha F4, @JackTekkel. Very useful! I have a question: My F4 pops out of the reverse gear as soon as I give some gas. Any idea what's causing this?

Len Kranendonk could be an alignement issue with your shifterrod or worn out parts in the clutch assembly. But if it shifts oke and jumps out at rpm then it's likely wear in the reverse clutchgear or/and in the dog clutch. But to be sure try aligning the shifterrod.

Thanks Jack, will try to align the shif trod first. Engine is quite new so I would not expect worn out clutch parts..

Len Kranendonk Oke let me know how it works out.

But do I need to do the brake oil and compressed air part?

You mean the brake cleaner? No you don't have to. It's for cleaning purposes only.
