7:00 in regards to widowhail, it is VERY chanceable. Either mule a new ranger to get a free base or farm one in a low level zone, and it seems to be a 1 in 7.
For anyone worried about a fresh SFF start, by the end of the campaign my sheet dps was 13.5k (+2 quiver +2 bow, no Widowhail). Doryani was about 7 or 8 hits. Not running the exact build, but damage and flask sustain seems fine. Although I've barely taken any defensive nodes, so early mapping might be interesting. Fingers crossed for a Widowhail.
Hi Lily, I used to follow Rage Gaming and KaidGames guides to no success and opted out for your build and man its something else. I no longer have a small peener and my game knowledge increased to Musk levels, also love to proj hard, cheers!
Been playing similar build for 2 weeks, went for 2 high flat dmg (cold and light, and +2 and double crit) rolls on quiver (cuz bow dmg was obv bugged) and been testing/using spiral volley to enhance clear on breach and its such a great combo, i do 1-2-1-2-1-2 and 200% of the screen dies and obv conc only for bosses. Its a compromise to have the the charge aura but spiral volley feels sooo good as an enhancement for greater reach (3 charges is enough, so just the aura and you need some decent flat dmg on quiv).
With the new Patch Freezing Mark can not Trigger itself anymore for good chainreactions. I suggest switching to Voltaic Mark. Voltaic Mark will trigger HoT, which triggers cast on freeze Voltaic Mark, which Triggers HoT and so on. Works pretty well :)
Good, What about Swaping to fulminating concoction using CoS with herald of ice to trigger freezing mark? I like more the freezing mark to clear. And the swap to fulminating would give more dmg to single target dps on boss?
cast on freeze still works fine for me post-patch, havent tried voltaic mark setup tho might be better especially at lower budgets for triggering herald of thunder, i'll try it out tomorrow
@@MyError.Notfound does not work so well in my experience, as cast on shock gains too little energy on normal mobs. But i tried it only briefly and disregarded the idea quickly, maybe i missed something there.
I was using a slightly different build since i was not able to find a good amulet with spirit and projectill skills +3. Pre-nerf cast on freeze was enough to clear all screen, it just triggered himself all over the screen. Now it’s no longer possible. I think I’m moving for just heralds again (before trying CoF was using just heralds and cleared all screen). Was not able to do more tests yesterday, was already late when the patch dropped on my region. Will try to figure out something today, if it’s a better amulet our just respec tree to heralds again! I really like the art work on the gear display haha. I run mine full ES CI and crazy attack and proj speed with about 2.6 million tool tip. It's a fun build to play :)
Weirdly I have noticed Enduring Elixirs main benefit only applies for effects like the "get XYZ during any flask effect" nodes. I have been playing with Eternal Youth mostly and the healing was not removed when at max ES. So I could flask at full life and given enough duration just wait to get hit. A drawback (imo) I noticed with EE is that I could not Flask at full life in preparation for my life to drop - aka "pre-flask" (That might be the "Flasks do not queue" part of that passive?). With Eternal Youth Keystone on the other hand I was able to do that AND also get the effect I was expecting to get from EE - as in flasks not getting cut short by healing to full life. So I am not sure I can recommend using it *currently*. I don't know If that was an early bug. Haven't tested since last patch, but keep an eye on it. Might be 2 wasted ascendancy points currently. Only clear benefit with EE is that flask buffs ("get XYZ during any flask effect") or "Shavronne's Satchel Fine Belt" can continue running while main healed resource is at 100%.
Hey Lily, I like the build, but there is something that feels off to me: are concoction skills meant to feel this slow? I feel like the animation is very slow and it takes me so long to attack in maps, even tho I'm using Howa...Is this something I could solve with proj speed and more attack speed or is this just how it feels? Edit: I refactored the tree, got Falcon Technique and a shitton of attack speed on gear and tree and some skill speed, together with the less movement speed penalty ascendancy and now it feels amazing, like a machine gun in breaches.
Hi Lily, thanks for this huge guide. I'm quite new to the game and leveled a ranger just to play this snowball-throwing playstyle. I'm currently running Level 15 maps without a problem. Just having struggle to reach the spirit required for all the skill gems. Any advice on how you increase my spirit? I'm currently missing about 60 Spirit to activate "Cast on Freeze".
For anyone wondering about damage after the nerf, I have been playing this build for about 2 weeks with no damage with bow skills on my quiver. I use a queen of the forest setup for sanctum farming and I beat Zarrokh very comfortably every time with the Desperate Alliance relic applied every run (75% less damage). This setup is obviously different since it is for mapping but it will be fine after the nerf. It is a great build and I highly recommend it.
Do you have any tree and gems for this? I'm looking around to do exactly this and am not sure where to go as I've never used this part of the tree or a ranger. Wondering about single target and survivability vs what lily is doing.
@@StewCatz I may post a video about this, I don't make videos but I haven't seen any using a QoTF setup on this for sanctum farming. Single target is great, survivability less so but you one shot everything and are very fast so it is great for sanctum. I would not touch maps with this setup.

the gear in the written guide is pretty much 1:1 the gear i was using, make sure your ice bite and innervate are working, it should have high uptime with cast on freeze / freezing mark, it also depends if you're doing juiced maps, more monsters = easier to chain, i have 48% crit chance on mine. if you are having trouble shocking enemies for herald of thunder you can try swapping freezing mark for voltaic mark and see if that helps, you need to have some flat lightning damage ideally on quiver

I did my own build since the beginning of times, figuring out everything by myself. After the patch, the only way to recover our lost damage is to corrupt the quiver and pray you get a 30% increased damage implicit. For single target i highly reccomend focusing on increased exposure effect, it will make boss resists go negative if you use it on top of frostbite curse, granting us a huge MORE dmg multiplier. I killed tier 4 breach boss before the patch, my dps were like 600k (thats not counting the +100% increased exposure effect). Now i have 330k dps, trying to get the corrupted implicit to get my old damage back.

GGG nerfed pconc, yet stat/mana stackers are unaffected. Looks like they just want everyone to play gemling/invoker/stormweaver, great I have rolled 3 different chars and all of them have gotten nerfed x_x
Which one is not procing? You need to adjust your lightning or cold damage so they both proc. Essentially, need more lightning or cold damage mods on items where you can fit them
get another quiver with a flat damage roll, and % cold damage on your rings will help a lot, plus replacing some defence on the tree with offense, build still clears well after patch for me
She posted this after the patch, no? And a lot of people knew that %bow damage from quiver was going to be fixed, it was definitely not working as intended. So they stopped using quivers with it. The build is fine.
@ takes a while to produce guides. She started working on this before the patch, guaranteed. And footage would be from before patch. Ppl still relied on the bug for concoction dmg in almost every build. That’s why I asked her vs assuming its just fine
@@Dreadd81 The only issues would be on bosses as you do lose a pretty large chunk of the damage from the damage with bow skills nerf. Lily's build doesn't use that mod based on the mobalytics link she posted in description (vs what she shows in the video). So the nice screenwide clears will still be available and satisfying. You can also corrupt the quiver to get 20-30% increased damage which does make up for a lot of the damage loss.
@@Dreadd81 Ive never had bow skill dmg. Mapping is great. Map bossing is really good. Pinnacle bossing on the other hand, not sure what to do on that front.
I took this build and fixed it, it's 10x better. To start, the tip is to put the lightning mark in the cast on freeze with supports to reset it, and also to ennervate. put freeze bite in the mix, among many other things that I improved, the way it is there it was reaching a measly 150 to 200 dps, now it reaches more than 400, I even made many changes to the tree too, with several tests, too bad that POB still doesn't allow you to import the build.
@ Well since widow and quiver bow skills doesnt count anymore dps has went way down..using skadoosh ide on his build with scepter. I tried it and my dps went back to what it was

@@PSVfootball if thats measurement standard than there are like a handfull of viable builds in existence. But a single target damage loss of roughly 20-25% after the patch will not have changed the outcome of that scenario dramatically ;)

Its easy to chance, just disenchant random uniques, you can allways get white bow if you create a new ranger

for those who are playing SSF and need widowhail, you can gamble it with lvl 2 character

I can't get my crit chance higher than 37%. I could use a slightly better quiver, but it's not going to make up another 10-12%. Anyone help?

@handlerone5172 seems herald of lightning does not proc when herald of ice pops. And herald of ice feels aoe is not popping most of the mobs

Is the boss damage good? This build clears super fast but the boss damage is terrible. This is with a 500k + tooltip.
