iirc yes it does behave that way in MK64, but in literally every other game it doesn't matter.

If you look at the speedometer when he uses the golden mushroom you can see that he doesn't actually have to spam it to keep max speed. He does delay his usage a tad too long from time to time which does make his usage sub-optimal.

Brother I haven’t played Mario kart Wii since I was like 6, this is the most I’ve seen of the game since then and it’s a trip lol. I recently found my old Wii but lost my copy of mkwii 😕
MKWii is my favourite in the series. It would be Double Dash but the incredible mods and sense of community for Wii slightly pushes it ahead, I'm lowkey obsessed with modding this game

@@connor9568 I used to be on CTGP-Revolution a lot, had such a good time with it, it was a renaissance for Mario Kart Wii after Nintendo shutdown their online provisions.
I mean there is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and with the amount of DLC maps, its just the superior platform to be able to map swap with so many choices. But obviously Mario Kart Wii's got the nostalgia factor.
Love Vinny choosing a character and kart with absolutely no handling and blaming the maps for him not being able to turn.

Thanks for including DKR Ancient Lake, I'm a regular Vinesauce viewer and was pleasantly surprised to see MKWii tracks on the menu when I tuned in and my track in the pack.
BTW, if you do make another pack, there is a way using Gecko codes to add custom music per track without worrying about overwriting it for every track, but it requires renaming a bunch of music files to match the filenames of the tracks themselves in the pack which all are just hexadecimal values. Let me know if you're interested, and sorry if you got a similar message twice: I originally sent this with the link to a tool I wrote to autoname the music files but I think TH-cam flagged it as spam and deleted it.

I try to catch Vinny live every Sunday so it was surreal and a pleasant surprise tuning in, seeing Mario Kart Wii tracks on the menu, and seeing one of my tracks included in the pack (the DKR Ancient Lake remake, I know, not the most imaginative one but still)!
Also, to answer a question I saw coming up in chat last night: you can do custom music in Mario Kart Wii custom tracks, but it requires a lot more effort than just using the vanilla songs and it's up to the pack makers, not the track makers to implement. It's also not well known because it requires codes to get it to work properly which was probably more effort than it was worth for just having Vinny play a few tracks. The intro/outtro songs for races are a lot easier to edit and don't have the same restrictions.
that's an awesome remake. dk racing deserves a lot more recognition and love

Um ackshually, rock type is not immune to electric moves. But Geodude is rock/ground and ground is immune to electric so the lightning bolt still shouldn't have affected them

Damn, Vinny's been hitting a bunch of things that I'm familiar with lately. I've never played modded MKWii. However, I've watched the scene for years now. TWD98 (For racing), Mayro/Nuokart (For track modifications, minigames, and the like), and NMede (For Time Trials) are all pretty awesome.
Not sure how a crossover between Vinny and any of them would play out, though.

Nintendo is so aggressive because they are afraid they will lose out despite people having blind brand name loyalty.
Age of Calamity's missing characters, 3 Hope's not having any alternative routes like 3 Houses and having a cut class A-Posing in base even ending the game with half complete endings and not giving Shez any closure. Scarlet/Violet having extreme performance issues while both BotW/TotK look and run better while even Wind Waker or Twilight Princess on Gamecube runs and looks better.
It isn't like they have to listen, people will buy their games regardless.
Companies as a whole listening is for show, not because they have to.

Gonna be honest, Death by Glamour was pretty underwhelming. Is it impossible to add new music to the game? I feel inclined to doubt it, since apparently the track introduction flourish can be changed, but I just find it hard to believe that that track's creator could've added the music but chose not to.
Without the use of a cheat code, the only option is to use the pre-existing music for the tracks.
From what I understand, you can't add new music slots to MKW. You can replace pre-existing songs, but that means that whatever other tracks use that song will also have it

It reminds me of a good old game called Re-volt, It's a Mario kart like game but with real life rc cars, with very complex physics, community made a multiplayer support and make tourneys weekly, they also made a great amount of good maps, this is my first Mario kart if you skip over first crash team racing game and i love it
I got super into Mario Kart Wii since last summer so very nice. The abundance of the custom levels and the work of the Mr. Bean bros is fantastic. Here's hopes sometime there can even be a way figured out to add characters and vehicles without replacing any slots. Shoutouts to Funky "The Shock" Kong and Petey Piranha being too busy eating McDonalds pimma.

Vinny casually bringing up Super Mario War unlocked a long dormant memory in my brain. It's been well over a decade since I played it last, and I long forgot about it's name.
It makes no difference how fast you spam the Golden Mushroom, so long as you use it again before the boost runs out and don't boost off of a cliff.

Mario Kart 7 has over 1,000 courses, if I'm remembering right. So that one's up there for sure for modded courses.
I've had a B-Dasher Mach 2 toy since I was a child.
I was never able to unlock the B-Dasher, recently I tried, and almost rage-quitted with the staff ghosts in this game
