I would like to congratulate the board of directors for picking this game for a replay, is amazing how we keep hitting home with this business decisions.
As a shareholder, I'm very glad that you chose to replay this game! It's one of my all time favourite playtroughs of yours, the soundtrack and the eerie atmosphere is very unique. It's a shame they didn't do Sylvio 2 (NO THEY DIDN'T).
Something I like about this game is that the ghosta aren't just "Ohh I am mad I'm dead so I am going to get you and make YOU dead too ohh," but are more so just lost and confused when they talk to you. It actually feels like a bunch of people who died suddenly and now just wondering around aimlessly. I also like how it kinda seems like they are experiencing different things or at different stages. Some are religing certain events, others are more aware of the present, some can't even remember there own name. It creates this sense of horror and tragedy around them. This fear of the unknown and being trapped in it.
I feel like this is ghosts behave more in people's accounts of them. Any time I've heard of ghost experiences from friends and family they're usually subtle.
@@floofzykitty5072 I agree, my mom was really into ghosts when I was growing up and this game portrays them closer to what you would see on ghost adventures or things like that. I am surprised we really haven't seen this type of ghost in games like phasmaphobia.
@@xxpandagalaxyxx5655 wouldn't it be *so cool* if someone made a phasmophobia but they added all these little voice lines and the EVP was one of the important things to track? Honestly I want a more cerebral ghost game, more about laying ppl to rest or something. It doesn't have to be an living vs dead thing, it could just be a fun gameplay loop where you solve problems =_=
@elvensith001 Right? Like, at the very least, they have both for variety in game play. That way, you don't know whether the ghost is hostile or not, which is potentially scarier then
him quoting Alanis Morissette while trying to murder a bird is honestly iconic behavior (Wolfe Industries CEO behavior even) "Isn't it iconic // Don't you think"
Ahh the balloons! Spoilers below if you don't want to read them. You can get them on every level except the first and the overworld map thing. If you shoot them with spiky ammo, you can drop the body and get a key that you can use during the hotel segment! I loved your playthrough of the OG so I bought the game myself and became obsessed with these things. Spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to summon them on each level. The first time one popped up, it scared the absolute crap out of me!
Gab found another giant mascot blimp thing in her old Sylvio playthrough, part 5. She shot the blimp and it popped, then the body dropped and it had a key. I preferred how the screen would kind of glitch when you shoot the orbs in the original release of the game. It is a little too peaceful in the remastered version.
Thanks for the wonderful playthrough. Always in for your witty commentary, there is somply noone that can replicate that. Always something to ponder or laugh about!
The dev is working on Sylvio 3, which looks like the Sylvio 2 demo kind of, or at least looks like it has video recording, rewinding etc. I wish he had gotten the Kickstarter to make a full version of that prototype demo, it was so impressive.
Never heard of this game before, but I'm loving this playthrough. It's an interesting concept, it reminds me of the more recent phasmophobia in a way. I do think this game does a better job at the actual EVP portion than any other I've seen tbf
This game hits just the same in the remaster so far. Loved the first playthrough and am loving this new one. The game is still so atmospheric. Lord I love this soundtrack
So glad you replayed this one! I love horror games and mostly I'm not bothered by them after years of playing them, but this one legitimately scares me. Something about the distorted audio and the messages of the spirits... it's just really unsettling.
Every time John takes a drink of something on camera and I can't identify it it makes me sad. The shareholders request drinks being identified more often! (Coke zero is always good)
This game unsettles me 😬 hearing the words of lost spirits describing their last moments and essentially describing some sort of purgatory those lines about a tunnel never ending or that " they are all statues down here " as well as being confused about why they still remain and what they need to do to move on, Hell that one didn't even remember her own name! and the constant noises in the static and the pervasive red mist hanging over the entire park like a miasma very spooky and it makes me uneasy and unnerved
I watched your original playthrough and enjoyed it. I'm watching this one and loving it more, especially when you watch past John LOL I can't find anything about the names. Are they the people who died and the times they died? Or something else? Because if they are people who died then we missing quite a few names I feel.
Seems like a cool game, but I wish it wasn't 80% painful static noises. The gimmick of scrubbing though audio recordings for hidden messages is a neat idea and I'm sure it was possible without so much noise.
I kind of miss the safe cracking mechanic too, just because it was another use of the microphone mechanic that makes Sylvio so unique. But I still love the seances and the subtle hints of story you get through them. Also does Bobby have a Swedish accent? In between now and my last watch I made some friends in Sweden and the way Bobby speaks sounds similar.
This game does rock i loved it then and i love it now. But i admit i do miss the old mechanics. I feel like they could have smoothed the mechanics out without kinda "getting rid of" the old mechanics. But still. Love this game. Also not a fan of the crow thing lol

John: is that okay with you?!
Me: sure 😊 go ahead
John: well too bad!!!
Me: 😧

"asking" past John when you're stuck on a puzzle is a great bit lmao

John agreeing with himself is my new favourite thing

No, JOHN! It's not okay. Have a Coke One
Man, I love video games like this. What a cool atmosphere and a neat way of storytelling.
the Driving Crooner reference was everything to me hahaha

At 1:24:25 when he said "Listen I'm kind of stupid", I felt that.
...oh my god are the bodies people who escaped from the landslide by hanging onto parade balloons. oh my god

I enjoy watching John enjoy a game that he enjoyed the first time he played it
Hey John, for the voices in the static, pay attention to the white sparkles in the air, there's where they are
not only is this game still so cool after so many years, your "collab" with past John is really funny

This was one of my favorite playthroughs that you ever did and I'm really happy you decided to play it again!

It's making me so happy watching you replay this.
Even if I don't comment on every vid I always enjoy you and appreciate you.
I’ve never heard of this game and I’ve really enjoyed watching you play it❤
I’ve really been enjoying this one a lot.
always coming in clutch! thank you john!
Can someone please forward me John’s beverage options? I can’t find them in the quarterly report.
Yes, the second part came out so fast! Thanks!

Happy to see another video for Sylvio! I'm looking forward to seeing ya'll discuss it in the next season of Spine Chill. 😄
As a shareholder having A SINGLE COKE ZERO IS NOT WHAT I PAID FOR, HAVE 2 INSTEAD.
Funny thing about the name Saginaw is that it is the Native American name of an area here in Michigan. I wonder why the game creator chose it?

It's really frustrating that sections of this game don't have any subtitles :(
How come nobody is talking about the eerie face on every glass window you smash or did I miss info about it during the beginning or something? 🤔
Ooh I’m early

Tired John be like (takes the game seriously, makes zero guys Jokes)
What are the names that come up each hour?
No, it's not OKAY with me, John. Everyone knows Diet Coke is the superior sugar free coke product.
Comment ❤🎉😂😢😅😊😮
