That centipede fucked that scorpion's shut up! And it was obvious the Assassin Bug was going to easily eat up the Earwig. It's like a fight between a heavyweight against a featherweight. No competition.

I did’t like seeing the Desert Scorpion/desert hairy scorpion lose. I have too of them and they are super cool! So are mantises. Those katydids are nasty and make my skin crawl.

I think the funniest moment, besides the jumping jack ant's leaps of joy, is the wolf spider crying at 6:05 before its head gets impaled and mashed up so graphically. XD

I've found and handled or caught or just photographed, many of the bugs in this video. The Golden Orb Weaver Spider web is like fishing line. I walked into one, felt something pressing against me and stopped, then stepped back to figure out what happened, realized it was a monster sized spider web and also that I walked into it and backed out, without doing any damage at all to the web.
Katydid jars are like crab claws, they are physically strong as heck. I don't know how strong their pinching/biting power is, but the material of their jaws is way way way stronger than it looks.

That's always amazing to me. I've encountered many katydids when I was young, here Missouri. But never realized how deadly they were. But then, I believe it is the size of the Mantis that matters for I have seen truly large ones in the fields of California.
Most katydid species are actually herbivorous. Carnivorous species can usually be identified by their large heads and jaws (as seen here).

Since ep 1 season 1 the wolf spider has become a joke. Prey for funnel web, white tail and huntsman. Also man I feel bad for some of the prey when introducing the fighters, they make cute little screams.

Actually jumping jacks are one of the largest genus of ant and belongs to the genus commonly known as "bull ant"

Can someone tell me how they figure that that one spider's (golden web weaver, around 25:00) silk is 6x stronger than steel and 10x(?) Better at absorbing energy than Kevlar? Like how would that be calculated? Is it just scaling down the weight of it and what it's able to support given its weight? Otherwise I don't understand. If it's that strong why not collect enough of the webs to make Kevlar vests or some shit? Maybe jet fuel can't melt golden web weaver silk? Hahaha. Thanks to anyone who knows the answer.
Scaling the weights. The mesh of proteins in the silk when scaled up can hit insane strength levels

I used to collect insects and arachnids of various shapes and sizes. Including the giant South African trapdoor spider.
I had the coolest looking collection ever. I used to pose them with carefully placed needles and pins. Most people erect their bugs boringly. Mine looked alive!
I used to have a pet spider named Josh. I fed him daddy-long legs n' stuff. Until he bit me.

What happened to your collection?
I thought the scorpion was going to get a strike in, but then I remembered just how brutal this centipede in particular was. Also, it seems a little smart in not going for the binding until that stinger is dealt with.

They use sound effects to improve the fight,and it doesn't mean that it makes it annoying,it means that they wan't the fight to be more intents,so never remove the sound effects.

its crazy how the katti did (over sized ferocious grasshopper) pulled the same move the mantis perform to disguise or vanish and it didnt attempt to engage on notice of that. probably was a younger opponent didnt show no sign of dominance. the entai di () sized the (mantis) in size and the mantis showed no size up with his rival.

Same here. Two Ws, even if one of them was against another Katydid. The other shocking one has to be when a cricket took down a freaking spider/ tarantula. Bulldog Raspy Cricket vs Whistling Tarantula was the bout. I do believe it pretty much charged in their bough in similar fashion to the Desert Centipede.

I wonder if it's like rock paper scissors with bugs, where some bugs lose to other bugs that lose to bugs that the first bug can beat. That would be pretty cool.
