To put into context, both Cris and Leo have been knocked out early in the round of 16 of the UCL for the 1st time since 2004-05. The Mbappe & Haaland newcomers are more menacing than ever before ! The downfall everyone despises is slowly coming. The most heartbreaking fact is that both Juve & Barça are letting down these 2 aliens (not themselves)... If you're reading this years after I wrote the comment, I hope u realise that Ronaldo & Messi are like one of these things that happen to our world. Similar to a natural coincidence, or an extra - ordinary event in history. Like a paranormal force if we may say, that gifts us in this case 2 brilliant sportsmen ! Beyond their football repertoires, I can speak for the millions of football fans of my age (early 2000's), that we've grown up alongside both their careers. Ronaldo had to adapt his playstyle but he maybe developed a better mental side for football than Leo. Cristiano was known as a choker until his early years in Madrid. I'm writing this comment on the 12th of March 2021. I've come back to this after watching it last August.
To put into context, both Cris and Leo have been knocked out early in the round of 16 of the UCL for the 1st time since 2004-05. The Mbappe & Haaland newcomers are more menacing than ever before ! The downfall everyone despises is slowly coming. The most heartbreaking fact is that both Juve & Barça are letting down these 2 aliens (not themselves)...
If you're reading this years after I wrote the comment, I hope u realise that Ronaldo & Messi are like one of these things that happen to our world. Similar to a natural coincidence, or an extra - ordinary event in history. Like a paranormal force if we may say, that gifts us in this case 2 brilliant sportsmen !
Beyond their football repertoires, I can speak for the millions of football fans of my age (early 2000's), that we've grown up alongside both their careers. Whether it's playing Fifa or even Pes, watching "all 2012 Messi goals" or "Cristiano counter attacks with Mourinho" every week after school ;D , playing football like them, celebrating goals like them etc...
*What we remember of them* , is watching countless UCL mid-week nights and getting used to the level of performance they deliver to the point where we forgot how unique they actually were. Consider yourself lucky to have so many archives on TH-cam ^^

The two greatest of all time. I’ve been a Madrid fan since I was 8 and thought I saw the best Madrid in the late 90s until the 2010s. Cristiano and Messi are the two greatest of all time, what a dream it was to watch them compete week in week out for years.

The fans opened a gap comparing them and seeing who is better, when their rivalry was healthy and they are completely different. They love each other. We had the historic opportunity to see the 2 best players in the world in the same league and a classic several times. They recently met again at other clubs. Do not compare them, Enjoy them. There is little left. I do not wait for the day to tell my children what these 2 players were in the history of soccer.

Man watching this almost made me cry I’ve been watching these guys since 2010 as a 5 year old kid I remember switching from team to team 1 day I loved Ronaldo the other day I loved Messi they were both truly my idols now as a 16 year old watching this literally almost made me cry my hero’s and my childhood

They both excelled and made what was thought to be impossible for normal players Normal.
