  • I know it's been a while since I posted a video of my cutting vinyl so I tried to make one for you today but decided not to. This is the truth about why I Don't Cut Vinyl Anymore. Will I ever use my vinyl cutters again? Maybe or maybe notbut for the time being, this is why I am not cutting anymore vinyl.

    Unless you’re doing dozens, if not hundreds of shirts a day, a DTG (and embroidery) machine invest would be a big waste of money.

    • @adubbproductions
      @adubbproductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That’s your opinion but I don’t think so. Even if you are selling 5 shirts a day it still out performs what the bank is giving you with that money sitting there. Actually you can sell 1 shirt a day at $20 bucks and out perform the bank’s intrust rate and make enough to make your payment on the machine if you are financing and buy new ink and still have money left over. How is that a waste of money? Please explain.

    • @Bobster986
      @Bobster986 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@adubbproductions because the machine needs to run everyday, so if you only sell one shirt a day the ink will eventually dry up or clog the heads and some ink cost hundreds of dollars to replace. But I do like your bank analogy, but you’re better off investing your extra cash in gold and silver, at least you would get your returns back double. Good luck with your gear, I’m sure one day you’ll be able to trade it for food when the economy completely tanks… or not. ☹️

    • @adubbproductions
      @adubbproductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Wrong. The machine does not need to run everyday. It cycles the ink itself. My machines has sat for two weeks at a time and still works. I’ve went on vacation and forgot to put the cleaning solution in came back and it still works. Your taking from what you heard. Im taking from experience. You obviously don’t have a dtg based off of what you are saying so how can you give advice on something you know nothing about?
      I started with a single needle embroidery machine now I have three multi needles and a lot more than I choose to show and I invest and it all comes from my machines and i don’t make hundreds of shirts a day or even a week. I sell a moderate amount weekly and it ads up extremely fast. I live it. I’m talking from experience. Everyone on this planet changes shirts daily. (Well almost everyone). I’ll take my chances. It’s worked out wonderfully for years. I’m giving advice and letting you know from what I do and what I’ve come from not hear say. Thanks for watching. I appreciate your point of view. I strongly disagree with this one but we can agree to disagree. When the economy tanks i can still use my gear to sell shirts or what ever else so choose to make and eat from income. I’ve been doing this for years good and bad, pandemic, bad economy people alway want custom stuff. I do it, this is not hear say.
      So, do you invest in gold and silver or is that just something else you heard? When the economy tanks I bet you I can sell a t shirt and buy a sandwich faster than you can trade your gold and silver wait to get the money from the trade, wait to transfer it to your bank so you can use it. 🤔. Yea. Good luck with that. I’d have sold 50 shirts while your waiting to access your money and paying all the fees involved in trading. Just saying.

      @@adubbproductions yes, when it was $400.00 an ounce, now it’s over $2000.00 an ounce. Like you said, way better than the return the bank (you know, the crooks) could ever give, they are the reason the US and the world is in the state that it is. Remember the story when Jesus went into the temple and started wiping the money changers? That’s how long these crooks have been around.

    • @adubbproductions
      @adubbproductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      How long did that take though. I can make that 2k in a week if I have half effort selling merch. I know your gold took way longer than that. If I run an ad or do a pop up merch in hand I can do 2k in a day. Once again. Taking from experience. I used to sell vinyl shirts out of the trunk of my Dodge Charger. I’ve done over 2 in three days. Selling vinyl and sublimation tees from the trunk of my car.
      Another thing You still don’t get to keep that entire $1600 profit. You pay trading fees on that before you get access any of it. Plus when you take it out that defeats the purpose of investing if you don’t let it compound. I like my method better. I can eat, and invest and buy more equipment and leave my money in my investments to compound.

    Dtg sucks to much prep work.. dtf is the truth..!

    • @adubbproductions
      @adubbproductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dtf IS prep work, its not a finished product. Dtg the product is done. Both have their place. I’ve seen those converted dtf printers print. They take forever. Then you gotta put the powder on and shake it forever to make sure all the powder is off then you gotta bake it to crystallize the powder. Agh. That’s not easy my friend. Then if someone ordered 20 shirts you gotta press them onto the shirts. Then wait cause it’s a cold peel. That ain’t it easy. Buying transfers is easy. But then it eats into your profit. Printing a shirt on a dtg printer has its upfront costs but you make more per shirt than you do creating dtf transfers. creating the transfers takes way longer. It’s not time efficient. Dtg start to finish is faster hands down and you make more money per item. Dtf film is expensive and the time it takes to create a dtf transfer is even more expensive. People just love it because it’s a cheaper method to make full color prints. But it’s. It faster by a long shot and it’s definitely not cheaper per print. Pretreat solution + ink + shirt = dtg
      Ink + dtf film + dtf powder + more time than the above + shirt = dtf. You add it up and tell me who wins in the long run. Dtf ain’t it.
