    Just wondering. Are you dipping the cartridge on the ink while machine is running, or you pause it.?

    • @ArtSomething
      @ArtSomething  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No problem and Thanks for the support Danny!! I'm not familiar with all the different machines and what not. But these power supplies and others like it usually come with either an RCA hook up or a DC hook up. So you want to check your machine to determine if it has an RCA or DC hook up, then you purchase the one that fits the machine you have. I hope this makes sense and thanks again for supporting the channel! 🤘🤘

    Pulsations found in cheep China batteries cause the motor to fail prematurely. They can display actual voltage. But micro drops are not detected by volt meter. That’s the issue.. Les expensive battery doesn’t turn off even when not in use. So basically it will not store energy. No safety fuse either. Consider it’s not just about the voltage. It’s the amount of amps that translate to amount of watts your motor maxes out on.

    Coming from 25 years of using cords and pedals..how has the adjustment/transition been to having a machine that is running constantly? This has been the main concern that has kept me away from the wireless revolution up to this point. I love the idea of freedom of movement and a cleaner work area but the idea of having a machine that is constantly running or having to push a button to turn the machine off every time I dip or pause to look at references etc.. I just don't know if I could get used it. I also wonder what impact the constant running has on the motor life of these machines. I'm really interested in hearing everyone's thoughts about this.

  • @charlieray4289
    @charlieray4289 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey my Dude. Have you ever tried some of the other wireless options like the Rocket mini? Whereas they might have a more balanced feel with a pen type machine. But it looks like most are extremely limited on the voltage selection. I was wondering what are your thoughts on that before I try to buy something.

    • @ArtSomething
      @ArtSomething  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is the only battery pack I have ever used. I will say that the weight of the battery doesnt bother me at all. I have been using these power supplies for a while now and havent had any problems with them. If these die on me or have a problem I will certainly let everyone know and if they do die I will try a new brand and see how that works, but so far so good.

    • @ArtSomething
      @ArtSomething  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I can only speak for myself when I say I prefer running wireless and the freedom of movement. the power and consistency seems stable. That’s not to say you couldn’t get a dud product that just doesn’t work. So I’m not saying it’s better I just prefer it.

I switched over to the mast tour max and cnc q2 tattoo pens with wireless as these are easier for me to handle. My question for you is this....I'm going to do a flower and vine tattoo on my wife. Once these die, give up or quite I will certainly try a different brand and when I do I will share my experiences with everyone. I will say that you really dont feel the weight of this on your machine. Its really light weight and feels lighter then having a cable hanging off the machine.

    • @docpariah4202

      @@ArtSomething I have the hard life battery pack. If I'm being honest, I haven't been unimpressed with their performance. They do seem to have a lag and communication for power, shutting down often unless I turn the machine on before I insert my cartridges. This means I have to stop, unwrap everything, and find a USB plug to reset it so it will run again.
      Also, they don't work so well all the time on other types of machines. For example, when I use my Xion they seem to have moments where the power becomes interrupted and causes the machine to basically stop and go. Now, this could be due to the fact that the connector for the battery pack is intended to go with the hard life Gambler or Omni. When I use the battery on my hard life rotary The Gambler I don't have any issues at all with the power supply disconnecting or having interruptions in the power. I do easily get 6 hours of work out of these batteries, which means I can do a 10 or 12 hour day if I want to.
      I think the problem with the Xion lies only in the fact that, like Cheyenne, each of these companies is creating something that will be proprietary mostly to their machines. However, unlike Cheyenne, these batteries will work on other brands of machines; even if only with minor issues. my friends that use the FK irons power supply and I've not had too many issues with FK iron battery have not had many complaints with their battery working improperly. Of course, they use them solely with FK irons machines. The shape of the battery won't allow for the use of it with too many other machines.
      I currently have a Cheyenne Sol Nova, FK Xion and Edge X, Hard Life Gambler, Killer Bee, Stylus, Kwadron Proton MX, HM Invictus and Centri Cobra. The Hard Life battery pack works on them all except the Killer Bee. It even powered a colleagues rca converted cool machine. He bought a battery pack the next week.

    I just got the Jet-Pack V.3 from ezgripz.com, they're on sale for 140 bucks and they're identical to what you have. I was skeptical about ordering the cheaper version from Amazon so I went with the more costly option. I love them. I can move around the piece I'm working on, just push my tray around to where I need it but don't have to worry about clip cords or cables, it makes me feel a lot more confident and capable. I have a Big Wasp RCA cable and it is 2.47oz., so actually a touch heavier than the wireless power supply. Plus being able to wrap your entire machine and power supply in one enclosed clip cord cover makes things extremely clean and simple.

    Is there any other power supplies that you have tried that are wireless that you have tried and that your would recommend I have the Mast Tour tattoo pen and it is rated by the manufacturer to not be ran above 8v and that the motor will burn out faster if I do and in that You said when you turn it on it starts at full power and then it slows down, if I were to get this one is there anyway that you could check if I turn it on and it’s not on the gun how if I then wait a minute to connect to the gun that it won’t jump to full power and then start at full voltage and then slow down so that I wouldn’t have to worry about it going over the rated voltage and burning out my power supply

      Sorry John I havent tried any other wireless power supplies. I do understand your concern and I honestly dont have a good answer. While I don't think it should really hurt your machine, I also don't want to be the cause of your machine failing on you. Maybe someone who has used a different wireless power supply will see your comment and possibly be able to recommend something for you. Thanks for supporting the channel though John I appreciate it!! 🤘🤘

    It works great . With normal power supply there is to much hustle to haw the constant tension , a good PSU, pedal , cabel etc . With wirless battery is better , constant voltage . The only 2 drawbacks I see is that the voltage has limitations and since is a bit heavy it will haw a bad effect when you do big tattoos 4 - 5 hours or even longer . Other than that I will definityl only use this . I also recommand getting 1 and test it out first .

    I picked up the same version from Amazon. pretty much for the same reason unfortunately, mypack was defective :( it would not stay running. it would power off after running for a minute or two but I still wanted to give these a shot. so did a little research & I picked up a jetpack v2 wireless battery pack from ezgrips.com I got it for about 60 bucks on a flash sale it came in pretty quick I've been using it pretty regularly for a couple of months now on my axys machine's along with my musotoku in the mix just because I love that thing LOL... Anyways pretty much like you I have been pleasantly surprised by the power & consistency they put out and let's face it..... it is quite liberating not being attached to that RCA cord 😁 so I'm on board if you haven't already, I would definitely recommend checking out the jetpack wireless supplies from boneface at ezgrip.com there is a few different options as far as witch generation / version or style.... he also has the v2 wireless that I use and another generation sold individual or as a 2pack comes with USB c charge cable I just use my usb old cube from my old cell phone and they have the quick charge built in it'll take less than a hour to the charge from 10% to 100% and they last. They say 4-6 hrs run time. but again all depending on what you're running and what voltage etc I have ran my axys Valhalla between 7.5-9v and got a good 7+ hrs and still had a good 25% . So yeah I'm happy so far especially with all the different options there are now ranging from 30 to way more. I'm sponsored by hardlife and the nucleus which is a wireless power supply they say is 300 to alone ...& Much as I stand behind my sponsors then everything they've done so far this has been a much more economic way to try and use this new wireless fun :) sry so long of a comment half using talk and text while multi tasking. Anyway dope vid my friend stay safe and check out what my dude boneface at www.ezgrip.com has or check out hardlife 🙏🤙🏻🤙🏻. #lostsoul #wirelessfreedom #hardcoretattoobuffalony
