I love this one so much. Scott had tickets to go see Wicked, but got sick, so Mitch came up with this idea to make him feel better. They are so fun. They were just goofing around.
I adore Scott and I think he’s immensely talented and so funny and charismatic, but Mitch’s voice is my favorite voice, of all singers (he’s also very funny, but in a different way). I love when they sing together, more than anything else!
Their background in musical theater is so evident in these Superfruit songs. See also Frozen Medley, featuring Kirstin. Once they start singing, I don't even notice the silly make-up and costumes!
So glad you enjoyed this!!! I would love to see them in a Broadway show (with Kirsten too). Hopefully you do Mitch's solo cover of Your Power by Billie Eilish.
One of my favorites. Even when they’re just messing around, they can’t not sing a beautifully. Absolutely love these two. OK I love them all but Mitch will always be my favorite. 🤗💋🥰
Saeed...Love you so much! You have quickly become my favorite reactor to Pentatonix because you genuinely enjoy their music, the band members, and are open to expressing your emotions. I would love to see you checking out where it all began for Pentatonix by watching their performances on the show "Sing Off" from 2011. From it you will learn how they formed as a group and see how they took critiques from the judges of the show to fine tune who they would become.
Thanks so much for the kind words. Will definitely go back and watch that one. Have a few reactions recorded that are coming soon. Have a wonderful day! ❤️
The trio (Mitch, Scott, and Kirstin) were all involved in amateur musical theater when they were pre-teens, so yes, they know a bit about getting into character.
Keep in mind that Scott is singing higher than Mitch in some parts of this. He is also doing the bass parts when Avi takes the lead in Hallelulah. Mitch has a fabulous voice and great range, but I think that many overlook Scott's range. If you add in his falsetto, it's massive!
Thanks for reacting to this one. It’s pretty much my favorite super fruit video other than guy.exe. Mitch is beyond amazing in this song, especially and part of the reason why I love him so much. Glad you enjoyed it as well!
I'm so happy that you reacted to Superfruit's "Defying Gravity" video and happy that you liked it. I agree with you that life is so much better when people accept other people and look for the joy in new experiences. They are so creative. Scott and Mitch met at 10 years old when doing musical theater in the same play in Arlington, TX.
This was from the Musical Wicked...has nothing to with budgeting. They were playing the roles of the two main characters of Wicked. I saw Wicked twice and watching these two, even though they were goofing around, they did a beautiful job on it!
They have been best friends for sooo long! And they were the drama/choir kids. Their parents were 100% behind them. Their parents are best friends. So it helps us understand their relationship. I love when they do musicals/drama. It takes you back to when they were 10! ❤
in case you did not know this was Mitches birthday gift to Scott. In their PTX Christmas livestream Scott and Kirsten did a mash of Defying Gravity and Go The Distance with a huge audience choir that gets me every time.
Oddly enough, I prefer the way Mitch sings this to the professional. No shade to her. Hut Mitch’s voice just soars. And Scott just shows he’s an alien as well. I love this musical.
Scott Kirstie and Mitch backgrounds are all in musical theater. As someone mentioned the wig makes another appearance in super fruits frozen medley featuring Kristie. At the end where they mess around singing badly, That is something leftover From when Scott Mitch and Kristy were in high school and that was something they did. All Superfruit videos after the Super fruit outro has bloopers. I recommend Superfruit hip hop goes to Broadway parts 1 and 2. There really short so do part 1 then the blooper's that follow, then part 2 With the bloopers that follow. Also feeling myself Is very goodgood. Super fruits cover of rise with 3 friends of theirs from the LGBTQ+ Community is exceptional. It was done in response to the shooting at the game nightclub the pulse. Knowing why they Are singing it really helps Understand all of the emotion You see and hear. For a video that really shows off Mitch Kirstie and Scott's musical theater background I suggest reacting to their appearance on the TV show bones. It's a A murder mystery and that particular week it involves 2 acapella groups. The clip title says PTX on bones but it's really just Scott Mitch and Kristie. Here is the link. I hope you react to it because not very many people do and it's really quite entertaining th-cam.com/video/RIjyzpX2ER4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=SEl9RQLn3a5zWDj7
👏🏻👏🏻🔥🔥I LOVE THESE TWO!!! This never gets old and never fails to bring the full body chills and goosebumps. Mitch is just unbelievably talented (they ALL are, but Mitch is my favorite by about 1.5%). I’m leaving you a link of Mitch from 10 years ago(!) doing a cover of Zedd’s Find You with Evan Duffy on the piano. I heard it again today from another reactor, and it just blew me away again. I hope you get to it someday. 😊💜 th-cam.com/video/n7NAcK2hu1Y/w-d-xo.htmlsi=08lfFEcUokd4i_Iv
Fun to watch this with you. I have seen this Superfruit episode several times with other reactors but I just love watching reactions. Even when they are goofing off they can't help but still be amazing. As always love your reactions. Peace and Love my friend!!
I think this wasn’t a very serious video for them which is why it didn’t have much budget. They’re just big fans of wicked and Mitch sang it for Scott’s birthday. The fact they can perform that well even just for fun is insane
You said you felt like you were at a Broadway show. This song is literally from the Broadway show "Wicked" from 2003, and it sounded like you had (even though you may have never seen the show) never heard of this show at all.
Mitch is truly special!!! Lol, not to dis Scott in the least, but Mitch is the one that takes my breath away! BUT, when you add the other three (don’t care if it’s Avi or Matt) THAT’S when the magic is made…PTX is almost “other worldly” in their ability to make each other shine!!!
@@SaeedReacts. The song is definitely the top priority…I think this a major reason that they’re still together 13 years later…egos be damned, let’s just make this song sound the best we can, be it a cover or an original!
Dude, that is *not* big budget makeup, LOL! That's, like, dollar store makeup, and they clearly applied it in a half-assed way, deliberately I'm sure for humor value. :)
I love this one so much. Scott had tickets to go see Wicked, but got sick, so Mitch came up with this idea to make him feel better. They are so fun. They were just goofing around.
Mitch needs to be on Broadway, at least once. He is so special!
Mitch is crazy talented. An angel's voice.
Note Mitch's high note is higher than the broadway stars. They started out in musical theater
I adore Scott and I think he’s immensely talented and so funny and charismatic, but Mitch’s voice is my favorite voice, of all singers (he’s also very funny, but in a different way). I love when they sing together, more than anything else!

Mitch really feels and express the emotos in whatever song he sings
This is my fave Mitch ever! I cry because he’s SO good here
So glad you enjoyed this!!! I would love to see them in a Broadway show (with Kirsten too). Hopefully you do Mitch's solo cover of Your Power by Billie Eilish.
Definitely need to check that one out.

When you love hearing Mitch high pitch and love the harmonies ‘the Lion King’ is great!

@@SaeedReacts. Just to0 let you know, there are 12 or 13 performances on the show along with judges comments. Enjoy the journey!
They both should be on Broadway! They are amazing. Love Super Fruit
I feel so lucky to have been here to witness Pentatonix and each of these artist's amazing talents! Thanks so much for reacting to this!
They are just so good.
I love your face when Mitch sings high🤣🤣🤣Grettings from Portugal
Its just incredible 😅😃. Greetings from Belgium.
I’m glad you enjoyed this performance and I’m also very happy about your comments, it definitely showed me that you’re excepting of all people!!

That comic book whiplash you felt is something fans call a “Mitch Slap”! It’s an EPIC feeling 🤩⚡️
That poor blonde wig has made it into several Superfruit videos…it’s seen it’s better day 😂
😅🤣
