    Every day is a school day. Never even heard of this place. Looks fantastic. I guess the climate is pretty mild being on the north African coast and Mediterranean. Great video. Thanks for posting.

      Cheers Alex! You´re not alone - I certainly hadn´t heard of it before and most people I tell are "where?!?" :)

      @@kvbcycles Nice one. There is also Ceuta as well and apparently the Isle of Perejil off the Moroccan coast according to Wikip. Everyday is a school day. Gibraltar is British to stop the Spanish controlling the western entry and exit to the Mediterranean which they would definitely do if they could.

      Yes, Ceuta is another one, still want to visit by cycling there, just to compare the two :) "Parsley island" (Perejil) :) is close to Ceuta - here in Melilla we have a group of 3 Spanish owned islets about 50km east of Melilla. Isla de Isabel II is the main one. You can see it most days from Melilla - there´s an army base on one of the islets, the other 2 are uninhabited. Also, google this little guy: Alboran Island

      @@kvbcycles Many thanks. Will do. I never knew Spain had claimed these areas for themselves to try to dominate the region. Looking at Google maps and Wiki it's rather bizarre. Maybe they are trying to hold onto what remains of their colonial past.

      Cheers buddy! As I said above - you´re not alone! Relatively unknown this place, very few tourists...which I must admit I do like :) border is still closed here - local gossip is it will open around May (maybe).

    Where were you before this ? Morocco ?

    • @kvbcycles
      @kvbcycles  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No! I was on my way to Morocco and beyond :) I arrived in Melilla last January and I discovered my USB charger stopped working. Contacted the manufacturer who said they'd ship one but said it would take a week at least, locals told me it would take longer...so I found a job and agreed to work until June, but ja, then covid and here I am, kinda glad that usb thing failed when it did! :)

    Salam! Good video!! Can you make a video of Monte Maria Cristina?? Near the center, close to Melilla La Vieja, I was born in Rio tajo street, green house.... front of this house you'll find steps. Merry Christmas and happy new year!
