My family and I saw the band on St. Charles Ave. As an OG band member I was filled with tremendous pride watching and hearing them march by. The Southern University Marching Band is one of if not “The Best Band In The Land” BAR NONE! Simply amazing!
Always loved Southern University sound better than any other HBCU Band. Great clean, harmonized and well balanced loud sound without overblowing which can cause a band to be out of tune. Great articulation on the notes and runs on the songs.
