I really appreciate the texture tutorial as there's a lot of videos about colours and light, but they never teach about textures, which I'm troubling about currently
All events in my life have meaning. My energy points unblocked. My back pain healed. This. Makes. Sense. Thank you for this tutorial wow im astonished ill be practicing all evening ❤❤❤❤
Watching Tyler draw makes me wanna draw more and more thank you for all the info in this video it's really really helpful as I am rendering a complex scene lately 🙏
Thanks! I had fun practicing Inking but with a mechanical Pencil. I really appreciate the part where you gave the perspective of thinking of it as if it was a displacement map. I've rarely touched traditional in years since I got into Digital Art and Blender 3D. I forgot that these fundamentals are also applicable in both traditional and in 3D.
I try to remember that lineart is just another part of drawing values and not that much seperate from flat colors or shading. The textures of materials are just the micro shadows indicated by the lineart. If a material were to be lit from all sides equally, then no shadows would form and thus no texture be visible.
i feel like doing all these little hatchings are more of a manga artist type role rather than concept artists but it definitely improved my art and its quite fun.
Watching you draw I was like "why does it feel so familiar ?🤔" And then you mentionned Peter Han and Drawabox and it clicked ^^ I'm a "Drawabox student" myself !
One thing I like to do is to use Black & White the image, and then Posterize to 2 levels. That way I can see more clearly the most important shapes of a texture.
anagram for Tyler Durden the name of the Brad Pitt's character in the 1999 movie "Fight Club" by David Fincher that movie also had Edward Norton who later played in 'The Incredible Hulk" (2008)
Thank you so much for this. I am currently working on some project and this helps me A LOT! personally I’m struggling with perspective so much. Could you make a lesson for perspective if you have time soon 👀 i dont understand the fundamentals of it actually Im self taught artist so i dont have any art education
This video was so hard to fully watch ngl. Dont get me wrong its rly rly good. But ur calm voice and the background music hit me like a truck. I've become so relaxed and tired that I'm watching the video for the third time now and still don't know the ending xD
@@TylerEdlin84 Hello, yes I know his channel ... that's why I put this comment ... on the intro of several of his videos on his channel, he says "my name is Tyler ... And your name is... * And he says a different name each time* with a funny video .. :)
I don't won't to disiponig you but this not how texture work in 3D rendering. The texture on 3D rendering in it collection off flat images that aplay to UVs. Yes the are multiple maps like normal map that it may make the object looks more 3D have better lighting or whatever and it posble to make multiple material but other than that it's the texture are flat images in most cases.
Hi, may i know the mentor's name, sorry i can't spell it out and just want to see some of his works and follow him in instagram or other platform.. Thank you..❤ and thank you for this video, really helped a lot..

How to paint textures and materials feels like a good follow up for this vid.
How to render water and fire. I struggle with both of those
Can you do a basic video on how we can master line , 3d forms ?

It’s coming later this week
Fun exercise! Reminds me of material spheres. I like that this is closer to the cube/mattress so the planes are less confusing.

Only just started art and I couldn't work out why my sketches look off and it's the lack of transition in level of detail! Thanks for the tutorial.
