Great idea. But how do you stop the adjustable saw stop from moving forward when using it to set the segment when cutting it. also the segment is not cut 90 degrees to the blade. It is at an angle. is there a way of setting the stop to have an accurate measurement ?

I'm always late to the party. Came upon your video today while cogitating over my new wedgie sled. Great job. I wondered how to keep the pieces from running back into the saw blade. Sometimes it's easy answers. Thanks for the help.

Dave, nice accessories for segmented turning. I might have to borrow those ideas. Great idea using the CNC to make the table inserts….I think I will borrow that idea too. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for watching Paul. If you need the files for the insert I'm happy to share them.

Those are great idea's. I made the insert from the files section but mine didn't fit. The cutout's on the edge were too small. I did manage to fix it so it works though. I can see another use for the size accessory you made, thin strip making. Thanks Dave..

Thanks for watching Larry. I've needed to make that stop block for a long time.

Very handy Dave! I have been meaning to make a file or making inserts for my table saw now I guess better get busy. I do like the stop you have made for setting segment length. I was going to make one with an attached digital read out but I like having the 2 blocks to measure between. On my list!
I missed this video the other day because I was working on the Honey Do list. Well I wanted it as well. A Catio for our cats.
    Great video again!

I’m moving my cutting of segments from my home to a MakerSpace. In trying to determine how to set the Table Saw insert with the slanted piece to get the segments away from the blade, once cut, I have a problem.
The brand of saw in the MakerSpace is a SawStop and it comes with a built in riving knife. Thus, I can’t create the initial cut on the table saw insert by raising the blade up through the insert-the riving knife is in the way.
    Any suggestions?
