Sony documentation says USB 2.0 will be 720p. But Im connected to USB 3.2 thunderbolt cable to proper usb 3.2 thunderbolt port in macbook pro m1 but still it shows 720p. Has anyone successfully got 1080p output live streaming via sony a7r5 yet ?
I use the USB-C HAMA Hub to charge and stream at the same time, but limits it to 1.5GBS (720p) - is there a hub supporting SuperSpeed 5GBS 1080? Currently this drains the battery after an hour or what.. the dummy battery does not work proper live streaming long.

Definitely by a dummy battery on Amazon. It's a game changer because you don't have to worry about recharging batteries. Simply walk up to your camera, turn it on, and forget about it.
Hi everyone, i have issues with mine. Everything is ok when i put it into my pc and set with OBS but the camera disconnect after a bit of time, anyone knows why?
Hello! I don't understand. You say that a cable is included with the camera, which will give the best quality but it's USB 2.0 and I only get 720 resolution... not 1080😪 And when I start streaming to TH-cam with my Dji Mic, the camera keeps recording audio and won't let me use the Dji Mic... That's a big problem. How can it be solved?
Granted I don't know the whole situation, here's my best input. The USB-C cable included with the camera will support 1080p at 60 or 30 frames. If you use any USB-C cable, such as one from a phone, it may not support the speed for that and will default to 720p, so double check that you are using the right one. I've made that mistake a few times and grabbed the wrong one! As far as the audio solution, that is controlled by the streaming software. I've not used YT, but for Zoom and Teams the audio selection is in the settings and I can choose a separate source. I hope this helps!
@@DerekFromSony I use the USB cable that came with the camera. I bought a Sony A7 IV in Bangkok, Thailand. I tried to launch a live broadcast via TH-cam, but the maximum resolution is only 720. I tried to launch via Google Meet, a similar situation (in the resolution settings, the maximum value is 720). I'm using the cable that came with the camera... What should I do?
@@sergey_chub That is strange. I have not tried it on those platforms, but I will try when I am able. You may want to reach out to customer support on the Sony website and see if they can offer support. I'll update if I can validate.
You should check out the DC Coupler DC-C1 that might work for what you are looking for. The A7M4 should work with the ElGato Cam Link, but we also offer some USB connectivity options that might work for what you're doing!
Hi, Im new to Live-cams and need your help. I want to tether my Sony a7 iv with Green Screen Removal for Live Events. What is the simplest and most effective way to achieve this.
I'm currently using my alpha 7 iv to stream, but there is a problem, when the stream lasts 3h, at the end, the camera havent any autonomy left. Is there any way to charge the battery and use the camera (with video flux output on the usb-c) without the battery getting drained ? Or a way to use the camera without battery (sorry for bad english and thank you for advices)

It should just appear as a webcam to your system. If you can select camera in the streaming, you can select alpha too. Don't know how it works on FB, but TH-cam streaming is done via OBS or something similar. In OBS you add Video capture into sources and select the camera in its settings

Yeah they don’t wanna just say it. But your camera probably overheated. Make sure you’ve got overreat settings turned to hot or something like that and make sure you’ve got the screen flipped open to allow heat to dissipate.
A nice intro, but not a peep on how you power the camera for unlimited duration podcasts. Apparently, the 2.01 firmware prohibits unlimited dummy AC batteries. Can we expect a 2.02 firmware update soon to fix this? I will not use DC batteries to go live on long interviews. Request a reply.
@@JCCowboysNetwork hi can you explain in detail ? Please… Like what cables u need and what’s the settings that we have to change in the camera.. and what software to use..
There is no cable with A7Cii.the freaking cable costs few bucks! Greedy Sony. In my country they sell chinese garbage and i cant get a decent thpe c cable now. Fff camera costs 2000$ and you cant even include a cable
It's as easy as he said it. Use the right cable, click live streaming when prompted on the camera, select the right camera in the streaming app and you're done.
Ok. What about external microphone feed to the video stream? Any wireless option?
What about sound sync?
I used the DJI mic recently connected to the camera and wirelessly to the speaker. I had to set the audio to the camera in the streaming app.
Do you have a longer USB cable for sale than the one that comes with the camera? If not could you consider making one? Thank you!
Unfortunately, we do not. We thank you for your feedback and will forward it to the right group.

Have aR7 V. What third party software would you recommend to use with Google Pixel phone.
How long can it stream 1080p at 30fps?
When doing this which picture profile will camera shoot in? S cinetinr S log or just a regular mode?
Any way this can be done on a mobile device?
Sometimes my camera will cut out during the live stream. My speculation is that it might be overheating a little. Any suggestions?
Mine also does this, I heard that you need a better SD Card that can handle 10 Bit
@@melaniebrandt7225 But we're not recording to SD Card?
Does the same type-C cable charge the camera while live streaming ? pls someone help !
No it doesn't. You need a battery dummy
