@@dnathomps congrats on the new camper! As far as I know, the real only visual difference is that the Gen 3 is tagged with a “SAE” certification on the side with the Andersen Name on it. It’s also overall 6” smaller in its foot print, and 1” taller than the Gen 2. Those two parts you wouldn’t be able to see really without having a measurement of them both. The old one also has blue stickers compared to the white/red for the new one.
Thanks for sharing your experience and opinions. Nice to see the simplicity of the design and ease of installation 👍
Thanks for watching! It really is a simple design, and process. We love towing with the Andersen as well.
Are you looking at new hitches?
Andersen is the only way to go! No chucking and able to hookup/unhook at any angle! Great review! Haha Iowa… 😂
@@Registered_Nomads just had to bring up Iowa 😂
We have had ours for 4 years now with no issues, just check the torque periodically
@@KenHollister-ys2bm oh god yes. Learned that one! We take it out and put it in often. So it’s an easy thing.
I bought a used 22 momentum and it came with an Anderson ultimate hitch with a bed shaft. How do I tell if it is a gen 3 or gen 2? The sku is 3220

@@dnathomps don’t mind me. SKU 3220 is the Gen 3. Much stronger than Gen 2.
