You are walking down a long hard road and I feel for you my dear. Don't think that the videos about your health are not what we want to hear. Yes, we want to hear how you are doing because we care about you. ❤

It took my hair 3 months to grow back in after my chemo and stem cell transplant. I had curly hair previously, but it came back 50 times curlier. It's been 2 years and it is still crazy curly. The neuropathy went away in my hands, but I still have it in my feet. Girl, My cancer is not curable. I have Multiple Myeloma. So I get some more time. You have got this. Work your way to acceptance at your own level. You will get there. It seems like you won't get there but you will I promise. I am sending my blessings. During my Stemcell transplant, It was discovered I also had skin cancer and Endometrial cancer also. So I ended up doing a radical Hysterectomy 4 months after my chemo/stem cells transplant. God is not going to give you more than you can handle. Walk your path of grief and acceptance, God will walk with you.

Right now, you have no idea how many people you are reaching, or how many women who have skipped their mammo's are making appointments. From experience I can tell you,, many are! I was blown away by those who I had never met, reached out to me. Seven had put off mammo's and had cancer, 1 was afraid to schedule her biopsy, sadly she is no longer with us. You are making a difference in women's lives. All you can do, is what you can do. You have been and continue to be in my prayers. It's a hard road to travel and but know that you are not alone!

I had my double mastectomy on March 14, 2023. I thought I would just have incisions where my breasts were in front. But when I woke up from my surgery. I was cut from my left side where my back starts under my arm to the middle of my chest. Then 1 inch was not cut in the center. Then the incision starts on the right to under the arm to where my back starts. The incisions under my arms are about 6 inches under my armpits. I wasn't prepared for being cut that much. Your area of cutting depends on how much side boobage you have that they have to remove to get all the breast tissue out. The areas under the arms were the areas that were really sore. The front area is mostly numb. So that area didn't hurt hardly any. The drain tubes hurt the whole 8 days I had them in. They were the worse part of the surgery. It's been a little over 3 and a half months post surgery now. And I still am experiencing weird feelings around the incision areas. Sometimes areas are numb, sometimes they tingle. Sometimes I get a stabbing pain in random areas. A lot of tightness around the area that was removed. My incision scares are still pretty bright red. They are starting to lighten up now. The worse part is the area under my arms. It looks like I have small boobs. The right one is bigger than the left side. The surgeon said that it was hard to know during the surgery how to transition around under my arms to my back. So it was swollen after the surgery, of course. But now I have those lumps of fat under there. And it really bothers me, as my arms rub against them all the time. And makes the right side sore. Since that one is bigger under there. My surgeon said I can have revision surgery done under there. But I really don't want to go through being cut again under there. I was lucky. I didn't have any cancer in any of my lymph nodes. And they got clear margins around my lump. The pathology report came back that I was cancer free after my double mastectomy. But then the fight began with the oncologist. She still wanted to make me have chemo, radiation and to take a chemo pill for 5 years. I told her no to all. That really ticked her off. I had the double so I wouldn't have to have chemo etc. As long as it wasn't in my lymph nodes or in the rest of the breast tissue. It wasn't. So I went for a 2nd opinion in a larger city, at their cancer center. That doctor actually looked at my case. And had waited for the gene test that was done on the breast tissue that they removed. To see that number. That gives them a number to see what chance of recurrence you have. So when I saw him. I felt like he looked at me. Not just lumped me in like everyone else at the cancer center in my town did. He told me that I had a low number of 20 on that gene test. I didn't need chemo or radiation. (I'd have already been done with all those treatments in my town). He did say that my towns center was "behind the times" in treatments. I said, duh. I live there I know. He did want me to take the chemo pill. But I'd researched it and the risks definitely didn't outweigh the bad side effects. And I know That I would get all of them. As I do get every side effect on every drug. So I left feeling good about my decisions. And now, I'm back to living my life. I'm so sorry you are having to go through all the hell you are going through. It is so traumatic. The emotional roller coaster is so scary. And there is so much that is not explained or they tell you could happen, till it has. I felt like most of the time they kept things from me. That might be fine for some people to be kept in the dark. But not me. I don't like surprises. I want to know what's coming. Don't like to be blindsided. There was alot of things they lied to me about. Tried to bully me into. And just tried to convince me to do. Those things don't work with me. I've always fought for myself with doctors. So my cancer journey was no different. I just wasn't ready for the low tactics that they used on me. Especially when I was scared, confused and freaking out over being told. You have cancer. Those 3 words strike fear, the likes of which you don't know till they say it to you. And then they start throwing everything at you all at once. And your still hearing shouting in your head. YOU HAVE CANCER! YOU HAVE CANCER! I've been praying for you. And I'm so sorry you had to become a member of this club, that I have started calling. The Sisterhood of the Traitorous Tatas. Welcome to the club absolutely no one wants to join. Oh, and I elected to not have any reconstruction of my breast done. I have embraced my flatness. NO MORE BRAS! No more back pain! This summer, no more heat rash under them! And now men have to look me in the eyes when they talk to me. Before they didn't know I had eyes! Remember to try to keep your sense of humor. It's the only thing that has kept me sane on this roller coaster.

I went for a routine screening mammogram in dec and found out I had a lump. Diagnosed with DIC in January. I'm going into chemo Next week with severe insulin resistance and it worries me a bit. ER & HER2 positive had a lumpectomy and healed well. Just getting anxious about possible chemo interference. As an insulin-dependent diabetic, I already have thinning hair, neuropathy, brain fog, and other chemo side effects. I went Low Carb Keto in January, hopefully that helped slow the cancer growth. Thank you for your videos they helped me understand the process better.

It's really difficult to have diabetes going through chemo. Focusing on both at the same time is undaunting. It's crazy! They don't want you to lose weight, so low carb is not encouraged. In fact in the center they'd offer me high carb food, and never once asked me about diabetes!!! There was a time I was just freezing and needed to eat carbs. I didn't care to even check my blood sugars....Fortunately, at the end, my levels were remarkable.

So thankful your chemo is over and you are recovering. I have Stage 4 invasive lobular carcinoma signet ring cell variant. I just finished my radiation and am facing many of the same questions you are facing about reconstruction etc. I was initially diagnosed stage 2c September 2022. I found your channel when you first announced your diagnosis. Because you laid out your treatment plan, I compared my plan and asked for more scans. The scans found my initial hormone treatment wasn't working, my cancer had spread throughout my breast and I got my mastectomy brought forward. The sentinel biopsy was positive and led to axillary lymph node dissection which was also positive for cancer in 14 nodes. After that I had restaging CT scans which showed a single metastatic tumor in the retro peritoneal area. It has been removed. So thank you for putting your journey out there. It gave me another avenue of knowledge and the courage to question and advocate for myself. You are amazing! Sending you much love and big hugs 🤗

I hope you have a good support system around you during this time. I’m glad you were able to advocate for yourself and ask for additional testing. There are so many variables and we should be fully informed about our options as we navigate this disease. I will be thinking of you and wishing you a speedy recovery. Thank you for reaching out with your story. I appreciate the community of support I have found here. ❤️

You are doing amazing and I’m so glad you posted! I just finished my chemo on June 14th and my single mastectomy is on July 17th. I was diagnosed with ILC on November 5th. The largest tumour was just over 8cm and Chemo blasted it down to 7mm! I’m a bit anxious about the surgery and really need to talk myself into the fact that it’s removing the cancer so it will be a good thing. I wish they’d take my currently health breast at the same time, but they won’t. My 25 days of radiation begins sometime in September and I’ll decide about reconstruction at a later date as well. Thanks for being so open and real about how much Chemo affected you. I too was hit quite hard and even landed in the hospital for 6 nights due to an infection, my white and red blood cells being dangerously low and Covid to top it all off. I ended up needing a unit of blood to get my red blood cells and energy back to a somewhat normal level and I’m so thankful to have received that. Sending you a huge hug and the best of wishes for a successful surgery and speedy recovery❤

Hi! So sorry your walking this path too. It’s so scary isn’t it? So many choices to make and they all suck! It sounds like we have very similar diagnosis even the size of our tumors are similar. And the chemo really shrunk mine a lot too (not sure how much yet). But we can tell by feeling that it is smaller and softer. I am very anxious about surgery it’s less than two weeks away and it’s starting to set in that in only have a few days left with my breasts. It’s a weird thought to have about a body part right? I haven’t even really started thinking about radiation yet even though I know it’s right around the corner. One thing at a time. Healing in between treatments and trying to exercise and eat right and do alot of self care is helping a lot. I have never in my life spent so much time on myself as I do right now. I hope you’re able to do the same. Having a good support system helps a lot and I also hope you have lots of loved ones around to help you during this time. I appreciate you sharing your story with me. It helps to hear other stories although it breaks my heart that so many other are facing this too. Please take care and keep me posted about your progress. We got this!! We may not come out in one piece but we are coming out of this!!

I think your plan for channel is wonderful. Through self care you could help so many including myself. I am horrible at self care. I need desperately to self care since I have lupus. It’s very difficult and feels selfish if I self care. Continue to get well!!

Do NOT feel bad for not sharing your trials! You didn't need the stress of working then (and I understand that creating YT content is much more difficult than you make it look!), or the guilt now. Focus your energy on your healing!

So glad you are through with the chemo. I had lobular bc as well in November. I was upset that it wasn't found earlier on my yearly mammograms but thankful it was at least found last fall with my mammogram. Lobular can be undetected for a long time because its so hard to see. . My cancer prompted my sister to go get a mammogram which she had avoided for 8 years. She had breast cancer as well...ductal not lobular. Wishing you all the best with your upcoming surgery and radiation. You will do great.
