Another inclusion that should be mentioned is that Frank Ocean initially released Endless solely as a visual album, fulfilling his contractual obligations with Def Jam Recordings. He then independently released the studio version of the album on vinyl and CD. This allowed him to control a greater share of the profits from physical sales than if he had still been under contract with his label.
