Hi guys, I’m trying a new style and approach to editing in this video and I would really love to know your thoughts ? If you could leave feedback in the comment’s below I would really appreciate it All the best 🤠🌱Chip
You have inspired me to possibly try doing something like this as a 63 year old woman with a natural ability and passion for Bonsai and topiary. I’m camera shy but I love the simplicity of this! I may just sell green sculptures from my front yard. I just bought a house and I’m so excited to get my hands on the yard. 🤩✨ This video could be my new bedtime ritual. Along with singing bowls. Your work is absolutely exquisite! I’m so glad I found your channel and I hope you all are settled nicely in your new home and all is well. Much love and appreciation from Georgia USA. 💕
I very much loved the zen like feel of this video. What a great job. All your videos are so well done Chip, and your voice is so calming. I fell in love with topiaries a few years ago, and sure wish I had your keen eye. But I am learning. Your a master!
Awww Thank You so much Joanne, your message has made my day 💚 keep up the topiary you also be a master before you know it 🌳🌳🌳 all the best & have a wonderful day 🌱 Chip
Hi Chips, Great video! Should you try to keep the ball shape all year round? I want my topiary ball to grow bigger and I thought I'd just let them grow out and then reshape once it had, but seemingly in your video you are doing the opposite! Any advice would be great. Thanks!
Love the new style very therapeutic and relaxing - although I do enjoy hearing your comments and explanations - in brief whatever style you use it will be a winner - you are a natural through n through!! X
Awww thank you Tricia love 🤠 I think more a work in progress lol 😂 cheers very much for the feedback it’s very much appreciated 👍🏼 have a wonderful day & big hugs 🌱 Chip
extremely calming. I feel like goo now. Also you make it look very accessible. I remember when I found your channel, it gave me the courage to shape my boxwood too. Now I don't even think about it twice (almost hehehe).
Hi Jlanvers , what a lovely message & so lovely to hear your confidence has grown 🌳🌳🌳 wonderful! .. have a fabulous day in the garden & all the best 🌱 Chip
Hi Joy , thank you for your lovely message & I’m so happy it’s helped with your topiary confidence 🌳🌳🌳 have fun & a wonderful day 🤠 happy gardening 🌱 Chip
This new style is very chilled. I enjoyed the soothing vibe. I wouldn't like for all your future videos to continue in this vain as I would really miss your upbeat and charming voiceovers. You made this look very easy. My question is why you didn't start with the "monks cap" method you taught me in the past. That has become my MO when cutting my boxwoods now. Chip you bring me so much joy and your blog's really inspire garden confidence. Thank you , thank you.
Hi Prosbotham , thank you for your lovely message & feedback it’s very much appreciated indeed 🤠 reading your message made my evening & iv taken in your thoughts.. to answer your question about the topiary monks crown, the monks crown is the top of your topiary ball that you first clip when trimming a ball but first you have to have a ball to do this & as these three buxus have never been shaped into a ball before there is no monks crown to find , now they are balls next time I come to trim them I will start with the monks crown down & around 🌳🌳🌳 I hope that explains. .. Cheers again for your lovely words it makes me so happy you are enjoying the channel 🤠 have a wonderful day & all the best 🌱 Chip
I tried shaping two small boxwoods last spring without success but after watching this video I see what I did wrong. I was afraid to prune any of the height. The video was very relaxing Chip. I love the variety of music you use in your videos & the different style of each.
Hi Bherrera & thank you for your lovely message it’s very much appreciated, 🤠 .. I’m so glad you enjoyed & found it useful, have a wonderful day & all the best 🌱 Chip
Awww thank you SandSandy 🤠 I’m so happy you enjoyed the new style of vlog 🎬🌳🌳🌳 & your feedback is very much appreciated, many thanks & have a wonderful day 🌱 Chip
Thank You Ruralangwin , very happy you enjoyed 🤠 & no this is the shame potting shed it’s just had a revamp , have a fabulous day & all the best 🌱 Chip
It is relaxing and zen. But I like your narration of instructions and thoughts on how you prune. Maybe a mix of both? You can voice incantations like... "Breathe in deep. Feel for what your boxwood needs." (just teasing) You look quite intense in your examinations of each specimen too! They turned out adorable. I had three boxwood suffer from the Texas 105 degree summer heat and partially died off. A Japanese boxwood died off by more than 1/2 and looks very puny. So sad. I will probably repot it into a smaller vessel. But the weather has finally changed a bit and I can now set my pots out in the sun without fear of them burning. Question... Should I fertilize them for the fall season to help them recover ? Now you have inspired me to go off and buy a few more boxwood and some garden soil. Cheers!
Hi Maria & thank you for your feedback, I hear you & will take this into consideration 🎬 trying to get the right mix of editing is the hardest thing , I’m still a work in progress 🎬😂 .. so sorry to hear about your boxwoods sounds dreadful hope they recover, I would prune all the dead away & maybe a feed but as long as they have healthy roots they should be fine just give them a bit of time to recover 👍🏼 have a lovely day & all the best 🌱 Chip
Have you any idea how beautiful & soothing your video is 😌 it's just delightful ❤
