    Love these DIY videos! The final product on this one came out great and I love your source of inspiration for the paint job.

    I gotta say it too-- I love these videos where you make stuff. (bike ridin vids are also sick AF too). I just really appreciate seeing an artist like yourself going through the process of making stuff. Also, more sewing stuff would be cool too, you almost had me buying a sewing machine with the pocket making vid. A couple more like that and it'll be a done deal. YYYYYYEEEEEEWWWWWW

    A number on the helmet in rebel font might help with the star wars authenticity look...SAF-1wd perhaps? Great vid!!

    It's really strange the crossovers with cycling and sci-fi and I've noticed the DnD books in some of your videos. I actually DM a weekly game for a set of regulars too!

    You could also use various sizes and shapes of whole punchers, hearts, stars, squares, triangles etc, and use the punched out pieces for the first couple of layers, then the punched-piece (the ones missing the shapes) as the next couple of layers and make digital or shaped camo or prints

    looks awesome! but is there no reaction between the paint and the Polystyrol foam of the helmet? what kind of paint did you use? PU based or other solvent free?

    • @EverythingsBeenDone
      @EverythingsBeenDone  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I had no issued with the foam and the paint. This helmet does not have a lot of exposed foam. I have the paints I used linked in the description. they are mostly acrylic based.

    This was rad! Will definitely be trying myself. Is your “spray booth” just a vent to the outside??

    • @EverythingsBeenDone
      @EverythingsBeenDone  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would love to see what you end up coming up with! Yes the spray booth pulls through our old furnace filter to the outside. Mostly to control overspray.

    when it comes to weathering appearence and surface metal showing through the outer layers of scratched camo paint, there's a lot to learn from plastic models builders, check some videos on YT and you'll be amazed.

    • @EverythingsBeenDone
      @EverythingsBeenDone  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have only scratched the surface with what they do, and I am blown away!

    • @juanaq

      @@EverythingsBeenDone don't go too deep. you risk ruining the helmet or becoming a plastic model nerd, and honestly i can´t tell what is worst.
