I live in New Zealand and it's winter. My moonstones are growing. I thought they died coz their leaves burnt and nothing grew during summer. I left the stub on soil. They got rained on this winter and they surprisingly gave new pups. They're so amazing!
Their growing season is during winter time not summer. Good thing you left the stump. You will have more pups

Maybe I am wrong but as far as I am aware moonstones and lavender pebbles are two different types, the prior being white and the latter being pink. I have both types and the moonstone is rounder than the lavender pebble as shown in this video, though it totally depends on luck of seed variation.
